The effectiveness of non PBAOE mages in RVR is one of the biggest issues in DAOC atm.

Well, Hib casters do just fine at the moment, due to lame ass stun, debuff, and nukes (thanks to debuff up to 500hp).
For an Alb to hit a properly debuffed tank, they would need a spirit specced Cabby or body specced Sorc, and be using assist.
But I agree that Alb casters need some loving, atleast Mid casters have hp to make up for some lack of damage.
Fire wizzes are a joke at the moment.

Lucky Mana Eldritch, Light Eldritch, Void Eldritch, Mana Mentalist, Light Mentalist, Mentalism Mentalist, Light Enchanter and Enchantments Enchanter don't count to the crowd hib casters then.

Where did this thread turn into an IG pissing contest? Gahldir implied that our groups were skilless (to be honest, I thought higher of him than to make statements like that). So cut out the penis measurement, please. Suffice to say is that SS does sufficiently well in RvR as a guild to make us continue playing together.

This is the group I played in today, we were very successful.
Our first fight was vs Xana/Jawz/Soruzi's NP group which we lost but we gave them a good fight.

However after that we won a fight vs 2fg of mids then went on to odins and beat several groups of hibs (/wave Mousah and Novamir) before the hibs finally got the jump on us and won.

Now we have a theurg instead of another tank but my word Kurik was useful, in some cases he used his ae mezz when I was tied up, other times he rooted tanks on me, and I kept seeing air pets chasing support classes all over the place

Also 2 clerics is great, at one point I had 2 hib tanks on me and my health was like a yo-yo but Platha and Eliel kept me alive.

This is prolly one of the best RvR groups i've been in and I hope I get another one just like it tomorrow

Hib mage's have killed me using stun in fg vs fg figths and i have max heat resist (+5 heat resist sarcen OOOHHH THATS WHY I PICKED SARCEN !!)

the mid perfect group he made got 3 perfect recoveries ...

hard to value vs the very good alb RA's ... but im sure they are very very even ...

and allso why do you guys keep telling us what groups we need to make ?? .. we know it ... just cant...

as many ppl post here .. albion punish the casual player harder than the other realms..(allso i know they dont have it easy in the other realms)

Erm, cant see him saying that.

TBH there no one in IG that regards themselves as uber. We arnt are pure RVR guild. We RVR a lot and have some real experienced players that really give us some cloat in RVR. But we also have a low RR players and peeps that prefer crafting and PVE. Its a good balance in the guild at the moment. We win a lot but get a fair share of getting anhiliated by other good grps (albs and mids both) But the main thing is we keep our sanity, have a laugh, and get on well.

SS certainly offer good fights in the past. Dont take things too personally belomar.

Sad but indeed true, although vs the apparent perfect mid group the only resist buff you need is body (and maybe matter)

do you actually have any clue how crap the baselinestun really is? I duel a chanter, chanter stuns me, stun wears of in less then 1 sec. I duel a chanter, chanter debuffs me (L44 heatdebuff), stun wears of in ~1.5 secs.

getting such a thing in RvR is like an extra xmass since you can't be slamed and then stuned for 8-9 secs for the next minute.

lol, funny. I merely said that ppl shouldn't whine so much if they run into a somewhat perfect group with some teamwork and lose with thier pickupgroup. And then some of you said "we pwn IG groups" more or less..

If it helps to kill him, it is lame ass. I bet we will soon see a "I shot at that thane and he turned around using lame ass /face and blocked my next arrow with his lame ass shield then interupted my next shot with lame ass insta then killed me in lame ass melee".
