What burning software ?

Hello people,
I have been nagged enough, I need to transfer the photo's from the computer to cd so my wife will stop whinging. Please could you point me in the right direction for a decent photo burning software package. All I want to do is take the photo's I have downloaded from my camera, Fuji Finepix 4700 Zoom, and put them onto a cd in a format that can be pretty much universally read. I am not overly interested in adding music or captions or a commentary, infact I am not at all interested in those things, I just need the photo's backed up onto a removable media to make the wife happy.

Nero version 6.3.0.2 and newer lets you burn images as a slide show in SVCD format, which should work on most DVD players, and certainly most PC's.
