To top it all off, sodding christmas is just round the corner. CBFA

And yet your year was still alot better than that of many others. Be thankful for what you have bud, no one died and your mum will be just fine as long as you are there and strong for her.

He wants to die.
Living with that atmosphere in the house is not reet good.

But thanks man

He will be ok bud, recovering from a stroke is really hard but as long as he keeps following the doctors orders his body will heal itself over the next year or so. I feel sorry for you all having to live with that but you have to approach life with the glass half full mentality or setbacks will fuck you up really quickly. You have a job, a nice lass, a mum you love to bits and family around you. It is Christmas, enjoy the good stuff and forget the ugly parts until 2nd January 2011. ;)

Thanks man. Appreciate that.

Yeah but wanting to be dead and not dying is surely worse than dying?

Thanks man, we're all holding together. For the fact that we have to!

I'd say things can only get better, but then shit gets worse lol. But cheers guys. We're all much better than we were 12 months ago. The house has been transformed and it's made things ALOT easier.

Thanks guys.

Punishment if you have nothing decent to say in my thread, then say fuck all.

I used his razor aswell. Lulz. Time for a test

Get it done privately (a bit pricey i know) so it is anonymous, if you get it done through the NHS it remains on your medical record that you got tested.
When you need to get life insurance or something (for example when you buy a house) you will need to pay a premium

Very wank year was 2010. I'll be glad to see the arse end of it.

My dad has been having injections once a week and tablets daily. He goes for a blood count every fortnight. So far the hep hasn't declined in numbers.

The result for my test was negative, i was so relieved. Quarenteen (sounds like something out of a zombie film) came round to all relatives and tested them, but i was quick off the mark to be tested.

So in one year...

My dad gets HEP C
My step dad has a 40% major stroke (and is still fucked if i may add)
My brother gets 10 years for something he never done.

My mum copes really well, i try comfort her as much as i can and make life easy but it's hard for us both. Now she's looking after a 13 stone 53 year old bloke, and my 8 year old bro. Go mum.

I feel with you mate :(

This year have had many bad experiences.

Lost a very good friend, and colleague in afghanistan.

Last week, one of my best friends commited suicide(He couldnt bare the pain of his illness anymore).

My mother in law, got brain cancer and don't have long left in this life!

Ah, well. Life goes on anyway :)

Yeah, thing happenes that you don't predict. But knowing that you are not the onlyone suffering because of things like this in the world, sorts of help=) Atleast what I feel.

No matter how much downtime there is in life, it will go on! Like you said(Just a little different). What doesnt kill us, only makes us stronger :D

I enjoy my life very much, and I just don't think about the bad things too much, it does no good. You should do the same :) What happens, happens!

I have never been this deep before :p

Im with Laddey. This year's been shiiit.

- I almost lose my job and have to cope with a retard for boss since then
- As consecuence I lost my extra payment

- My sister broke with his fiancee 6 months before the wedding and got depressed so badly she had to recover in a specialized clinic.

- Huge dissapointment with a girl. That carried sad consecuences on my mood / persona. Had to visit a counselor during 3 months.

- One of my bestfriends had a quarry with the police and ended up with his arse doing time (he had previous charges for a street fight 10 years ago).

- My mum got cancer around May. Hopefully shes recovered by now.

- I crashed my 2 years old car so bad it went straight to the recycling plant (i didnt even get a single scratch)
- Funny thing, 2 months earlier i had canceled my full cover insurance for a cheaper one and lost any right to receive a minimum payment for the crashed car, thus Im left with a non yet paid wreckage and I still owe 4k € to the bank.

- Yesterday my grandma had an accident while she was being carried in ambulance from my parent's to her daily dialisis treatment clinic. She broke her hip and will be on a wheelchair for the rest of her life (shes 90).
- Our christmas holydays are ruined for our family now, we are even thinking about cancelling christmas eve dinner (let alone christmas day lunch)
- Now, the lawyers and courts inferno begins, cuz we have to sue the ambulance company for imprudence (they didnt fasten my grandma seatbelt).

Roll on 2011 indeed.

Aaaaand the winner in this particular game of "who has the shittest life is..."

seriously guys, it's not a contest lol, come on! Yes all the stuff you have listed is horrible and I am very sorry that you had it happen, in this whole year there has been a certain amount of bad stuff happening to everyone I bet, to a certain degree, but don't think of it as a giant conspiracy against you. 2010 did not have it in for any of you!! Shit just happens, some time there is lots and sometimes not so much but don't forget all the good stuff that's happened this year too!!

I guess you are right. Theres been rly nice stuff happening lately for the forumites (we all know :) )

However, i have the feeling that theres some good amount of shite that happened this 2010 to a lot of people around our green themed "second home". Maybe its me seeing the glass half empty :(

I really really hope we all have spectacular 2011s and the amount of good outweighs the bad next year...and if it doesn't that they are only little annoying bads and not big omfg DOOM bads.

For those that had bad years know that a year can make all the difference in the world. Last christmas I was 3000 miles away from a girl I was crazy about, my parents looked close to splitting up, I was told my grandmother had at most 6 months to live, I was struggeling at college and I was very unhappy.

Today I am living with that girl, my parents seem to be getting along better, my grandmother is still going strong, I finished college and got a starting job in the career I want to get into.

Things can and do get better.

best of luck to all,

Merry Christmas.

Hmm, can't see the point of this post? As I never posted it for anyone to even bother. it was to show my support to Laddey, telling him I can feel for him, and that he aint alone!

Laddey started this thread, because he had some personal issues he wanted to share. Showing him that he is not the onlyone with problems(Ofcourse he knew this, but sometimes you just need to be told), actually helps(Atleast it does for me).

If you don't like what you read, then just don't bother at all! If you don't want to share anything, well. Don't!

Problem solved ;)

Rofl tbh re-read the last few posts and you gotta admit it's pretty depressing, just listing all the bad stuff you have personally been through generally (in my experience) does not make someone else go 'oh hey wow, your life sucks way more than mine, I feel so much better!' sharing is great, when you then list positive things that have happened.

I just read the last few posts and kind of wanted to open a wrist so thought I would try and inject some pep into the thread...I could however go on to list the numerous bad things that have befallen me in the last 12 months if that would make folks feel better lol.

Ah, well. If you bothered to read my whole post aswell. Where I wrote down that I love my life, then you'd see that I didnt write it for people to feel pity of me?

Sharing bad experiences is something you do to not to feel alone, and to work on your thoughts together. This is something we did alot in the force. Just ask you're boyfriend, they should have the same way(I know Royal marines do it atleast).

As I said, knowing that some people have problems similar to yourself, helps out(Somehow relieves you for stress to a certain degree, even tho it is wrong to feel relieved because of someone elses problems.)

It also helps on the bonding part(It does, when people get personal and care to share.)

My post was not meant in anyway to make you feel depressed. If it did, then I am sorry.

agree. Some guyz here said their personal bad experience of this year or in general in order to help Laddey and many others (that are afraid to share).

We all know that nowdays our lifestyle is kinda bad with many problems and unlucky situations.

The reason i posted this thread is basically...for advice. Words of wisdom from Cerb and Chosen & everybody else.

It's not as if i can go crying to one of my pals is it? They just arn't like that. Not as if i can go give my bro a hug.

I don't want any sympathy or anything. It's just nice to know that other people have had problems and have pulled through the shit.

Merry chrimbo y'all.

Incase I didn't say so before mate, I hope things get better for you.

I get what you are saying about your mates aswell. Last year when I wasn't too happy I made a thread on here about sometimes not being able to talk to the people closest to you. If you do need to talk shoot me a pm. Gay as that might sound I mean it.
