If not goal line tech, then a ref on the back line. F'ing Sepp Blatter.

oh and are there two Wayne Rooneys?

cause he's been poor in every game this world cup. regardless of service into him, his first touch and control have been all over the place

Overall England have been dire not even 5 goals scored throughout the tournament.

It will only get worse for us in Euro 2012 and onwards there is just no emerging talent coming through clubs because of the flood of foreign players.

German league is totally different foreign players are out numbered.

Lol!

Perhaps now people will realise England are utter gash.

How much does Capello get paid? Absolute joke.

We need a goal and he brings on Heskey? How the fuck did he figure that would help? Rainman would manage better. As I have always said, apart from 1 good season Rooney is not a good striker he is a good midfielder at best.

That was shocking. Too many players picked just because they play for the right clubs. To be fair Lampard came to life in this game, but was hopeless in the rest of our games.

Rooney has done nothing all tournament, Gerrard nothing since the opening goal, Terry has been poor, Joe Cole powderpuff, Glen Johnson poor since the opening game.

Terrible really...

Can see Capello going, they were right about him i think though. His stubborness going against what others think, especially in terms of formation played a part in this.

regardless, perfect time for Roy Hodgeson to step in! Just before he gets tempted by the Liverpool job.

Most of our best names have been poor every game. Especially Rooney and Terry. Thankfully most of our 'golden generation' are too old to see another world cup. We need to start from scratch.

My aim would be to get some proper grass roots in so they are ready towards 2016-2018.

the management must surely shoulder the majority of blame the team didnt look like they knew where they should be playing they were all over the show. could go into it but im just stunned at how shit we played.
i think its time for capello to go he may be a succesful manager but its just not working for england international.

That defence was laughable; Germany sliced it apart with ease when they had the chance. I was rooting for England, but Germany nailed it.

Who is your 1?

On the showing of this world cup, Defoe.

Frankly though, I don't give a shit. The 1 wasn't important - the point of 4-5-1 was how to make the bunch of talented individuals that make up the England squad into a team.

Sorry but it was more than just formation, it was failures right across the board at various stages.

Our defence was all over the place tbh although i thought James played a decent game shame he didn't save em all.

The German Sausages have also gone in the bin that will show em ..... take that Germany.

I still think that the ignored goal could have changed the outcome a fair bit, but I still think Germany would have won. The English defense were dreadful in the second half, yet another tournament without any British teams in the last 16 :(

I don't disagree with that. England were shit all round (apart from James and Cole).

However, I include the manager in that assessment...

Perhaps but even then the fact there was another total fuck up in the argie game just makes it even more funny.

Sepp Blatter is an almighty, arrogant prick, much like Capello. He won't change his mind.

<watch out - p*ssed rant coming!>

I'm English, but have been watching the WC from Italy - Can't stand the b*ll*cks printed in our media when we play.

Forget what they will say about the goal that wasn't given (although I'm sure our media won't). We've been exposed by a good young team who are only going to get better.

Germany are a very young team - In 4 years' time, most of the players playing today will still be around. What can you say about the England players? Gerrard, Lampard and Barry were all shown up today, and in conjunction with a central defensive partnership of Terry and Upson, we were always going to be exposed on the break when we had to chase the game - Germany were clinical on the break. England simply don't have the legs in the centre of the park when it matters most. We were too old and slow to cut it at international level. The scarey thing is that I can't see who's going to replace them in 4 years' time - where's our next Mueller or Schweinsteiger going to come from?

What most disappointed me was when Capello substitiuted Defoe for Heskey. Rooney has had, let's face it, a disappointing world cup campaign. He's not been the player that we know and love in the Premiership (and I'm a Liverpool fan so it hurts to say that!!!). I thought Defoe looked far more dangerous to the Germans than Rooney. So, that's one bad decision by Capello.

He then compounded that bad decision by bringing on a striker that only scored 2 league goals in the premiership over the course of the year, and hasn't scored for England since (probably) we last beat the Germans 5-1. What does every manager in the world seem to have against Crouch (including Rafa when he played for Liverpool)? I know he's tall and gangley and awkward looking, but he's got a goal ratio for England that's second to none, and even if he doesn't score, he's always been good in the hold up play beforehand...

BAH!!!

I'm now cheering on the Germans to win the competition... I hope the Argies don't win!

Oh and one last thing whilst I'm on a roll - I know it's a bit late to say this now, but I think the ball used in this World Cup has been an absolute disgrace - I know it's the same for all teams/players, but it has really hurt the teams who use long cross field passes - we're being robbed of some cracking football as a result of that overly bouncy ball.

<time to drink lots of water to try and mitigate the hangover>

Regs,

Whilst I agree with your view of Blatter, I still don't want goal line tec.

Human game, human mistakes. I'm happy with that.

well, you'd think at least ONE of the refs would have spotted that goal.

i can accept that one didn't, but all 3 managing to look the other way at exactly the same time?

we dont need to invest on goal line technology, just simply watch a replay, it takes no more time doing that than colling down the opposition thats gone to beat up the linesman :)
