Not the case for all of us, but I know some poeple who played these games so much they lost their jobs due to constant "sick days" or just too tired to work. Playing alot can also affect your health due to a lack of exercise and lack of nutritious food. I know several people who have almost lost their partner because of playing these games too much. And because of all these people's who lives can be at risk...
