Anyone got any sites with info / rumours about this remake?

I grew up with the original Victorian London / walking martians and i'm gonna be a little disappointed if it's an independance day fest of flying machines. Similarly, how much of a resemblence will it have to the "flying" remake of the 1950's version?

Just looking for some info, i hope they don't stamp all over the original concepts.

There are 3 films out this year:

1) Speilberg blockbuster with no real relation to the book and with none of Jeff Wayne's music.
2) Pendragon films making one based on the book around Woking
3) Jeff Wayne doing a CG version.

last time spiel wots tits name, did a sci-fi's one was pointless boring and a money grab from a dead dir's name. other started out well but ending was over stretched.
