To the real soloers out there

Been along so far with my Paladin and lost every fight. It was still fun and I was close on a few and not so close on a few others. Wont stop me from trying again and after I finally complete a template who knows I might win more than lose?

Havent taken inf yet as duels mostly have between tanks or hybrids from what I have seen.

no, solo ppl are rp whores, every1 knows theres no better way to get rps than soloing and not adding on fights, its pretty much insta rr13 tbh.

tbh I dont like the idea of taking away the thrill of the fight, so when I first when along I was a little sceptical that this would work. I would not sign up to anything I feel isnt in the spirit of the game and if gahns concept had any premotivation to "arrange" any sort of melee contest.

but I got jumped and pwned by a SB. Next time pwned by a zerker.
had a nice long fight with theo. was no prearrangement, I got attacked and killed just like I would normally, just didnt have some leet WL or whatever ruining the fight for his 50 rp's.

tbh the "decalred area" is large like almost half a zone. So theres no like pre-arrangement of fights concept its just like declaring a place to rvr away from the people who "claim, its ok to add its Mass RVR (or Irvr)!!!!". Well this place isnt like Mass RVR its a place you can go to get away from the lamers or retard mode classes.

If you are a lamer, or u add on anything and everything under the guise of "its mass rvr meight", then continue to play your game. The only people that really wont like this are mages that run outside of FG's. Any other class with a melee toon that likes to dabble outside of the FG rvr scene will like the idea of a place u can go where people dont feel the urge to play like complete morons. thats all this is.

only reason the numbnutz are upset is its less people to add on. harsh but true.

When you quote something please try to reply to it instead of ranting about something irrelevant. When you quote me, try to be precise about what you're saying. Here you're just expressing frustration of some sort.

i came to that conclusion since you seem to think that this is a bad idea. from your post it seemed that you feel that this wasn't a good idea. i just feel that skipping the getting zerged part and going directly for the having fun part would be a good idea.

and you're right, i don't have any real arguments about why this is a good idea other than it seems like something that will give alot of people a place to enjoy the game. but i don't have any arguments on why it is a bad idea either.

and i fail to see why my post should be considered a rant of something irrevelant. just made tried to make my point clear: getting zerged is no fun, having even numbered fights is fun.

there are only two problems with this soloing setting up (neither of which have anything to do with zergers not getting RP):

1. cross realm farming - people setting up the time and place of a duel. As long as it stays to just zones people should be fine. If it turns into "Fight Club" it's gonna get you in trouble.

2. abuse - if some group _dares_ to turn up and take towers/keeps or just drive through the zone you're in and get subjected to abuse by the soloers, those hurling abuse are going to get in trouble.

So your not a rp whore, but run in a grp basicly with a load of casters, ice wizards if i remember right, and run into keep/tower fights, and do the exact same thing whorelock bombing grps do, and your saying your not a rp whore.

You add on basicly every solo persons fight, but your not a rp whore your saying. So why ruin the persons 1v1 fight, if your not in it for the rp's.

As if i remember right, when you infact run into 1v1 fight or fg v fg fight, you just add don't you? So you basicly run in rvr, to make other people feel bad?

Muylaetrix doesnt play for the rps at all lol, whenever ive been grouped with him its been protecting the fronteir retaking unclaimed/empty towers, if he were rp horny hed join the usual rp farmers in aggrmmon etc

rpfarming would be camping a bridge in instarvr with lots and lots of mages, or farming whatever people that don't run in opted groups. and trust me, they don't go agramon

the difference between the adding whining people and the soloers, is that a soloer would still attempt to take out a RR8 as a RR4, andyes, prolly die alot, but they wont give up, and eventually, with enough kills under their belts, they will accomplish killing that rr8.

sorry to pick you out, its not targettted directly at you, people are always hiding behind the "you cant solo untill you're rr5" shit for along time, saying they dont have a chance, well BS, i soloed @ RR2/3/4/5/6 and now 7, it is posible, it is hard at the start, but still posible. and i truly believe it will make you a better player.

ok, but most ppl (or atleast i cant c any other reason) that insta add does it for the rps. Why else would u add? Not like theres any challenge to it.

And saying rr4 cant fight a rr8 is such utter bullshit. I could kill rr10+ stealthers at rr2 with ns. Ofcourse not every time, but it was deffo not impossible.

You've pretty much hit the nail on the head on why there's so much aggro between the different groups of playstyle - they just don't understand where the other side is coming from

there is little challenge in killing someone with a loc (or BD, ml9 pet caster,...)
there is little challenge in killing a random pug where not even everybody speaks english, with a fixed group.

challenge is a very relative term at best.

funny as it might sound, i am not a competitive person. you will never hear me yell at people on TS or in chat, i don`t whine about dieing, or not getting healed. ok, i sometimes moan a bit about locs, ml9 pets and hib baseline stun though. :/

easy would have been deleting the wiz and rerolling a lock... i am sure it would not have taken me over 3.5 years of real time to hit rr10.

outnumbering is a good tactic. it`s a MMorpg, not an instanced rpg.
