To sum it up nicely, TT put an AC'd relic keep to L1 and refused to give it up cause they wanted balance back.

Albs whined, GoA banned some TT members and BF members, all hell broke loose.

If you bothered to read this far Ill give you a short recap abit more descriptive than the others here...(In my view anyway!

After several months of so called Alarm clock raids (raids taking keeps/relics from 01.00-06.00 or so), the server had gotten into a very bad shape, where alot of people were stating that they were leaving the server because of this.

During one of these raids, the alarm clockers hit the, then really weak hibs, taking their relic and placing it in a keep belonging to Black Falcons. TT as a guild decided that they would make a statement, that the Alarm clock raids wasnt the doing of all Albs, but infact quite alot of them didnt like this behaviour. Beeing friends with Black Falcons, they asked for them to release the Keep so that TT could take it over, and then Lower the keep to Lvl 1. For 2 reasons, 1 to show all in game that there were albs not condoning the actions of a few late nighters. And 2 to atleast make it possible for hibs (who were extremly low in numbers) to be able to retake the relic, thus ensuring some decent rvr action.

Since they were making a point, they ofc, refused to give over the control of the keep to guilds who were nagging about it. So those whiners (Muy/kagato/CM) (coincidently the late night crewers), whined at GoA till GoA decided to punish the ingame action of TT.

GoA knew there were no real rule they could use to justify this, since all TT had done was using a feature that are aviable in the game, so they called it a breach of "The spirit of the Game". And on that note Banned the Guildmaster of TT and the guildmaster of Black Falcon.

TT argued that there were already a presidence of this action, and it was at that time apparently not deemed to be against the SoTG, this summer when AoD lowered Crim keep in Hib to get rid of what they considered a boring IRvR.

Through the channels of FH and active players, news of this decition by GoA trickled down into most of the playerbase, and it was quite predictably recived badly by a Humongus majority of players, even those not activly involved in the situation. So a big amount of the already small playerbase chose to chunk it all, including TT and Black Falcon, and go to some other place where they wouldnt be treated like this. So the english cluster lost the last of the real population to the German servers (avalon mainly) and the US servers.

After this a big argument arose on FH about it all, where some players tried to reason with GoA and a rather big signup list against this action taken by GoA, was put to them. But still nothing changed their mind, and here we are today, with a server in really bad shape!:/

Basically we have Muy, Kagato, some of CM and GoA to thank for it!:/

But somehow they just refuse to see it though...they are in full blindfold mode, trying to sweep it all under the carpet instead of reliesing the effects and trying to do something about it.

ps. In my opinion, I really do think that if Requiel could go back in time and change this decision, he would. To this date this decisition is the most devostating blow to the english Daoc servers, so far. Mainly because it didnt only effect the elite rvr crews, it also hit the majority of the players, the "play for fun" playerbase as a show that GoA can do anything they want, no matter what the rules say, because they can ALWAYS rule that something is against "the spirit of the game". ds

ps. The main reason this got such a huge response in the community was probably that TT as a guild and its players, had gained such huge amounts of respect for their way of playing the game. They had earned the right not to get banned for something they could have no knowledge of beeing a bannable offence, no matter how short the ban was. ds

About the poll, I just wonder how many active players on Dyvet skipped that poll bcse of, many don't give a crap about FH, and so on.

I chosed the last option, I couldn't care less, since I just don't care at all. AC relics is fine in my book, all have done it and my guess is it will happen again.

I miss the OF relic keeps, they were much harder to penetrate, stronger guards, more guards then now, etc, etc.

Relics/keeps were getting perma AC'd making prime time siege warfare pointless.
TT lowered the level of a keep with a relic in to 1 in protest at the albs killing the server (a minority of them i must add)
morons like Muylaetrix whined to GOA about it.
GOA used the "SOTG" to suspend members of TT
loads of people quit in disgust at GOAs actions
GOA make feeble attempts to repair the damage
the server dies in its own filth, most of the people left are the idiots like Muylaetrix

TT's actions could be seen as "honorable" - They found it "dishonorable" the way the relics were taken and took action against it.

To me TT's action couldent be more within Spirit Of The Game ... -Its ultimate roleplaying!

GOA shouldent have interfered - It should have been solved by the community.

you will probably not believe me when i say i never made any conversation with any GOA employee about this incident. i didn`t mail, pm, rightnow anyting.

when we noticed that renaris had been set to level 1, i talked with TT members who ridiculed me, i talked with my guild who screamed bloody outrage, i talked with the /as who screamed bloody outrage and sugested i screenshotted the conversation that i had and bring it to FH, i brought the subject to FH.
