Mystery explosion heard in West Manchester area

I was up at that time, but don't remember hearing anything. Then again, I did have Depeche Mode on the car stereo at massive volumes. I wonder what it was? Anyone else hear it?

A lot of students were late for class because of it. I didn't hear it but I'm locked in the server-room for most of the day. People are saying it was a meteorite.

I heard nothing here, although I am about 2 miles east of the supposed blast area. Mate told me about it in pub, but no-one at work mentioned it, I'd have loved to have seen a meteor though

I didnt hear it Tom but all the scallies round our way say they did.

Then I didn't here them blow up that block of flats in Salford on Sunday and thats less than half a mile away.

I've been been blaming all bangs on fire work toting chav scum since late mid September, whether it's a meteor impact, underground gas explosion or 40kg of blasting explosive followed by a demolished building.

I live in a nice neighbourhood though no matter what they say.
