Anyone playing the multiplayer?

It's alreet. What it reminds me of is that 20 years ago games would be "photorealistic" in 5 years. But 15 years on, it's pretty much just Halo.

Gameplay is the same as any CTF or CnH - people running around, driving shit. Basically, anything but going for the objectives.

But it's free, so... :)

Zerodriven on the platform. Probably on for a few games a day to kill boredom.

I was. Got bored very quickly.
Was it just because it was the same as 20 years ago but with *slightly* better graphics and much less players?

I remember Barrysworld held 128-player Tribes matches. Peak gaming. 1998.

Edit: Oh, and that was long before a poverty 60fps was considered "desireable", as opposed to "lol, what the fuck sort of steam are you running on bro?!"

It is because FPS shooters for me are more than hold down the left mouse button and aim in the general direction.

Recommendations?

It feels old school. But it also feels old, if you know what I mean?

I think if you put a team together and played with proper cooperation it could be brilliant. But then, that's the thing with multiplayer FPSs - if you get a great team it can make average into brilliant.

What else is there atm?

5v5, character based? Might do, but I kind of just want a bunfight.

CS:GO.

Shame Tribes isn't still about :(

Yes but other play modes such as Deathmatch and Spike Rush (faster 5v5 game)
It is also free so nothing to lose by trying it out

Valorant is easily the best new "competitive" FPS game in recent times.

Battlefield was my go-to for large scale chaos shooter, but they made the new one badly.

Too old and slow for CS:GO and co.
