It's hardly something that "just happens", and as some others have already pointed out, it is very simple: the actions of a guild's members reflect back on the guild (after all, what is a guild other than a bunch of people?). If, at some point, a guild member commits an act that the guild does not condone and does not want to be associated with, the guild should remove said member from its ranks. Failing to do so, especially after the act has been "published" (i.e. this thread), means that the guild has to accept the blame.

On the other hand, if at some point the guild takes a direction that one or several of its members does not like, it is up to them to either try to change things back, or leave the guild. So I don't see why you would be exempt from leaving Chaos Theory if your opinions no longer coincide with those of its other members.

It's time that the community draws a line in the sand and does something about this. Clearly, this is in the gray area of rules that GOA can enforce, and so the community must learn to enforce them itself.

Can't we have a sticky to note the names of thieves likes these and their alts and house numbers - I know it can get carried away but people like this really do need their own little sticky - even lock the thread and only have the mods adding names to it as and when thread like this pop up on a regular basis - not just a "omg wtf billy bob added on my 1v1" etc but anything this nasty and spiteful does need some retribution from the community - and given the nature of forums this thread will no doubt disapear in due course and people who didnt bother to read it will not know how much of a thief Jarvio and his mates are - a sticky would solve this no end - a hall of shame if you like.. even post name/alts/house and link to the thread(s) that got them the posting in the hall of shame..

Either you kick the offending person from the guild, showing that you don't agree with their behaviour.
You leave the guild if you don't agree with the opinions of the other members of the guild.
You accept that people will treat you like a clueless idiot and you stay in the guild.

that is why you have guild masters, they should kick him out of the guild, a GM is the voice of a guild, if he supports this sort of thing then the whole guild is as guilty.

edit: if a GM doesnt take action against something like this then maybe he/she should step down as GM and let someone more mature take control.

they used to try to be and fail usually (thanks to the GMs being a bit more sensible than the Mythic CSRs who have their hands tied)
their DF merchant killing got them a suspension, as did their "wipe out mithra" hunt (back when people still went there)

Lately they've been more of just a "have fun and kill things with stealther" guild but I guess the old chaos theory spirit is still there

Not really. You choose to "accept" Jarvios behaviour. That is fine as long as it doesn't encroach on others but fucking off 117 other players is always going to have repercussions. The fact that it is Jarvio makes it all the worse and yet again CT have proven that they are only in the game for themselves and fuck everyone else.

Any GM worth his salt would have removed offenders like Jarvio without hesitation. This is now a community lead action against those 2 griefers and tbtfh good on all who have decided that enough is enough.

CT is probably the only guild to accept Liam(aka jarvio) but and dont get me wrong, I've been at the end of many of a Jarvio whine (ie he got knocked the fuck out by a rr2)

I don't agree with his play style & as said by many - he pays his account so he can play anyway he wants.
