Imo, its about fkin time, send all these stealth wannabe's back to xp'ing their normal chars. Theres just too many. Alb zerg is likely to increase in size, but fuck me, its better than those stealth zergs

Yeah noticed that to, anyone know for sure if it will work like 50+22 stealth when a stealther use this lore?

Nice to see Mythic doing their bit to populate SWG and WoW servers.

By the time ToA reaches Europe SWG might be an interesting game and WoW may have been released. But they have made my mind up for me. I'm not buying 3 copies of ToA if I can't play my main character anymore.

All I can say is: QQ :D

Look at how the SB who is posting the images is whining -- "I sent a nice letter to mythic, and i hope others do the same, cuz casters get this too =/" -- yes, maybe it's time that stealth classes get knocked down from their elevated position of uberness. All the stealthers whine here are about zergs, DF, and true sight anyway, it's not as if you have any trouble killing most solo non-stealther targets you come across.

Can't se any stealther cry more then some casters that cry about sc, aom, det, interupts, strafing etc etc

Guess they cant take that the time with 2-3 shooting tanks is over? ;)

And dont say a caster could never do that, have seen Nalistah's rm 2-3shoot epicgimps loads of time's.

If this is true:

Then there shouldn't be too much to worry about, when it comes to, lets say, casters who have that thing :) Easy to still avoid them :)
Only other stealthers might be a problem, but who cares really? I mean, only if your spec totally depends on getting PA in to win you might be in a bit of trouble, but else? That other guy with the stealthlorethingy might see you a lot easier and get to you, but if he attacks you and you evade, you still got df4tehwin (at least infs do :p ...and others like for example Rayne or Cyclodia don't need df to win fights :p)

Soo... me finks there is not much to worry about for now :)

Cyclops shields, staffs of gods, pns, whatever, bring it on, it cant be more fucked up than it is.

And when you think about it;

In the beginning people rolled steathers because they liked the idea about a sneaky bastard. Today people roll stealthers to be able to solo, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Mytix focus on big epic battles while the customer want solo-action and small scale rvr. The solo part is a dying joke.

So what does Mytix do? They make the life for stealthers harder instead of giving all classes limited stealth, a big misstake.

Nah, Mytix have no clue what we customers want. I wanted to be a simple warrior, but I do not like the idea that I HAVE TO group to stand a chance. Thats why I rerolled a sb.

Some people may say that you are able to solo. Take a look at Shafu for example. I admire his patience, but the downtime must be sick. Sit on the pad, port, buff, run out, get stemrolled or zerged by x stealthers 80% of the time. It isnt acceptable.

that thing is 10 min buff on 15 min timer, so full protection still cant be achieved - unless person uses 2 SL items - cloak and shield for example.

Still too early to decide what effect ToA really has.

When we've established the overall effect of going into battle with a couple of artifacts each (including stealthers) then I might worry.

Though tbh, as stealthers have had no effect on the realm war since about the time everyone realised that balanced groups are good, I'm unlikely to give a damn about this even then.

I actually suspect in the long run most people will consider stealth lore a waste of artifact xp. So you can kill solo stealthers? Whoop-de-fricking-do. Since when could a functional group not kill soloers?

Giv 33% insta heal to all albs in 1500 radius from a healer's embrace cloak...

hmm...u have to wear item for 15 mins first to charge become activated, so it wont be possible to put it on, fire the charge and put it back to pack. Now, guess what stealth class can always wear cloak and shield ---- sure, Scout! Albion got the upper hand again.

lol I just activated the axe of malice (levels off volcanus mobs in the dungeon)

It comes with reverse spell damage lore or something stupid like that

I dueled my pbae sm friend to test it out, let him attack me and he died in 2 casts killing himself with each cast and did 0 dmg to me

This is going to be great, and there is no counter (or at least no counter found yet)

rofl im not going to bother w/ stealther lore, letting casters kill themselvs trying to attack me is worth the laugh

omg this is too funny

But the thing is: how do you fix it? Numbers are always going to count against the soloer, unless you make some soloers so powerful they can take out full groups - and how much would people whine about that?

Yes, surprise surprise, it's hard to be a soloer: but this should always be the case. Playing solo should be the hardest way to play this game, because DAoC has alway been about working as a team, whether that team is as small as a single group or as big as the whole realm.

I've yet to see anyone who complains about how hard soloing is actually come up and give a realistic solution.

The funny part is that the MG is camped b at least 8 Stealthers...

The only things imho this lore will do is to get rid of stealthers camping MG doors&walls

The stealthers must get out from MG and search new hunting grounds.

It will b good to get rid of the 4/5 adds that pops when fighting at MG.

I havent read the whole thread but... if you take away their ability to solo (i.e. nullifying stealth or at least close to nullifying). Give assassins and archers (minstrels are fine as they are) something that groups want. Almost every TL-report from a stealther TL (except minstrel) is screaming for group abilities, but no changes has reached the Pendragon-server.

These TOA-stealth changes are stupid. Not all people fancy running around in a fg. Mythic isnt listening to its customer base... for us players its kinda, adapt or die.

hope they nerf stealthers so much no1 wanna play em anymore. Nothing is more annoying then a stealther singlehanded ruins a good and even FG fight by PAing healer/CC.

i think just the expansion of frontier areas with various land elements, buildings, walkways, bridges etc and various reasons for grps to go to places would help alleviate many problems with todays RVR

everyone rvr'ing in the same small place, condensed more by the upgraded keep guards and the bottlenecks which are the mg's have a large influence on the problems of both solo and fg rvr.

its also just as annoying to eventually find a 1 v 1 or 2 v 2 close drawn out fight to have you, them or both, trounced over by a fg in 2 secs flat

Nothing is more annoying then a rp horny fg ruing a good and even 1v1 or 2v2 fight. So whats your point?

You don't need stealth to 'solo'.

You need stealth to camp in a highly populated area without caring about 90% of the people around who pass by.

I stopped playing my Inf a long time ago. I didn't stop soloing.
