He proved he has a chin, most people would have been out after being hit like that by Carwin, infact go check out his other fights and people have crumbled with alot less. Carwin hits like a fucking truck and despite alot of MMA haters out there still doubting Lesnar even they now have to admit that Lesnar got smashed up by the heaviest hitter in MMA and still won. The fight wasn't great but Lesnar proved a hell of alot, he is freakishly strong but he can also take a beating and come back strong.

The refs are employed and paid by the state athletic commissions and have nothing to do w/ the ufc ( no conflict of interest ).

He was constantly moving, throwing back the occasional punch and trying to push Carwin off. Yes he took a fuckload of shots but at no point did he stop trying to defend himself or cover up, it was refereeing as it should be and look at Lesnar when he got back to his feet the guy was 100% in the fight.

He took a ton of punishment, fully recovered and then managed to submit one of the best heavyweights around. Dana White favourite or not he deserved to win that fight, he showed an iron chin and massive heart.

he may have taken a lot of punishment, but it is the ref's job to ascertain the a) the level of punishment and b) to what level of punishment a fighter can withstand. it is part of the ref's job to KNOW the fighters as we've seen countless times, some fighters can take more of a beating than others. moreover, whenever rosenthal said you have to fight back/improve position or i'll stop the fight, lesnar did.

i think lesnar proved a lot of his detractors wrong again with that performance. he's not only a tough son of a bitch but his overall mma game is improving. truly a freak of nature tbh ;o

There was one point where he didnt do anything for a good 15 seconds and was just taking punches to the head. As I said, fights have been stopped for less.

He's had 81 pro fights, even if he's 95% to win vs anyone he's going to end up with some losses.

Mayweather is on 40 something fights , hatton 40 something fights, pac 40 something fights. Think about that - he has fought TWICE AS MANY FIGHTS as those guys - it's fucking crazy.

He's 72-6, Randy is 16-10 - yet Randy is a "legend?" wut?

Randy has lost to Ricco Rodriguez, Enson Inoue,Mikhail Illoukhine, Valentijn Overeem, Chuck Liddell x2, Josh Barnett, Brock . ( And some questionable wins like the decision vs Brandon that he was figted ).

The only top tier fighter from that list is Chuck in prime form and Brock ( who outweighed randy by 50lb+ ).

Randy is a great fighter and grinds people down - stylistically I'm not sure he's the best guy to fight Toney - I think a heavyweight submission guy is - Randy isn't a BJJ guy - he's a wrestler / dirty boxer - he isn't a striker and he isnt a submission specialist.

If the fight goes more than the first round then there is a real chance Randy gets tagged.

I think the most likely result is Randy shoots on Toney immediately and if he takes him down Randy wins, if he doesnt take him down and chooses to grind in the clinch -you could definitely see a KO for Toney if he can get any space.

If toney fought at heavyweight I agree a bunch of guys absolutely kill him.

At LHW though where a bunch of guys love to stand and bang and pretend they are boxers ( chuck, rampage, rashad etc and dont use their excellent wrestling ) he has quite a good chance.

I'd love to see Toney vs Machida or Toney vs Shogun - kind of why I want to see Toney KTFO Randy ( or Toney vs Tito - LOL , or Forrest even bigger lol ).
