They lost when one side broke the law repeatedly and had the advantage of being able to lie through their teeth about what leaving the EU could be like.

Stupid idea to have a referendum in the first place. Ruling party is happy with the status quo but offers to have a referendum on it anyway?!? Cameron should just have told his lunatic wing to shut up or fuck off. UKIP were never going to win seats in a general election anyway.

The fact that we voted out shows the referendum had to be had in the first place - Major not giving us a vote on Maastricht was a massive miscalculation.

However both sides have been proven to break the law (even if Vote Leaves was an admin error made on the advice of the Electoral Commission), and much rubbish was talked on both sides. However the leaflet mentioned by Job said the Government would implement the result, so let's get on with it shall we?

To be fair to Banks, his banter is several levels above any of the dreary Remoaners always in the news.

Anyway smells like a political witch hunt to me, and I suspect a couple of the fabled EU brown envelopes have changed hands, but let's see where it goes eh?

So which is more likely?

A.) The National Crime Agency takes bribes to investigate non-cases that will be all over the news and which will be scrutinised in detail.

B.) Dodgy spiv who revels in his dodgy spiv image is a dodgy spiv.

Vote Leave and Leave.EU have both been found to have broken the law by the electoral commission. Where did the Remain campaign break the law? Which body has reached this verdict?

Everyone breaks the electioneering 'laws', Obamas team did it to the tune of 400K.

I dont know the process, but its a pointless investigation unless its utterly outrageous, what they gonna do rerun the referendum..or Obamas and Trumps vote?

And the Russians buying referendums to suit their political agenda isn't utterly outrageous?

It's evident that anti-EU sentiment wasn't around 10 years ago, the economic crash and a need for a scape goat brought it about, and somehow the popularity of Brexit boomed when there was a bunch of charismatic politicians spouting lots of lies whilst there was a muted defence from a bunch of wet flannels.

As for the US, 400k 'overspending' is probably an financial oversight/risk more than anything, considering it's peanuts in the sea of cash that the Americans use.

I regardless of the outcome of these investigations, both Remain and Leave should be looking into this, unless we're putting Brexit above our security?

Anti EU sentiment started with the European court, then mass immigration from NA and ME into the free movement zone, then pretty well hit the stratosphere when they sent Cameron home with 5% off tampons.
The working classes lost most of the people in the war and seeing a German chancellor pretty well running the club, would account for 50% of the leave votes.

ECHR is not an EU institution.

I like it how you say you're not xenophobic, but the only two reasons you listed for Brexit are;

A. Muslim migration (which we will see more post brexit)

B. Being 'led by a German because WW2'

This is why everyone laughs at you and you have no credibility, you're making dangerous choices based on where people are from in the world.

I can't be arsed to look it up but I'm sure you've been pulled up before for saying that we're "leaving Europe".

And there we go again...
I say people voted for those reasons and the immediate tiresome response...
So YOU are an idiot for voting for those reasons .
Thats why we cant have nice things.
Its 'he who smelt it dealt it' kneejerk reactions again.

If you constantly attatch the messenger to the message, people stop telling you things you dont like.

Did they now? Care to back that up with any actual facts? Its also utter bollocks; retarded arseholes in Grimsby who can't be bothered moving from their shit shitholes to find work aren't upset that Goering bombed their granny, they just want someone to blame for their crappy lives, and rich cunts who are already offshored and financially safe are only too happy to feed them lies about evil Germans. Brexit is about certain people getting biblically rich, and the rest is just window-dressing.

Just feeding the stereotype eh.

Northern towns full of cretins who need saving by immigrants.

Northern England built the wealth of the empire, now its all in London..the great service industry and casino of Europe.

The town still has the largest fish market in the UK, but most of what is sold is now brought overland from other ports or Iceland via containerisation. Of the 18,000 tonnes of fresh fish sold in Grimsby fish market in 2012, almost 13,000 tonnes, mainly cod and haddock, came from Iceland.[27]

Today, Greater Grimsby is home to around 500 food-related companies, giving it one of the largest concentrations of food manufacturing, research, storage, and distribution in Europe. The local council has promoted Grimsby as Europe's Food Town for nearly twenty years.[35] In 1999, the BBC reported that more pizzas were produced in the town than anywhere else in Europe, including Italy.[36]

Grimsby is recognised as the main centre of the UK fish-processing industry; 70% of the UK's fish processing industry is located there.[27

And that's the EUs fault... how?

It's called the Tories, last time we had a lengthy term of the Tories there were loads of riots and shit, now they've successfully deflected the blame.

I dont think you can blame tories for the Norths decline..because really it just adjusted back to the norm.

The wealth up here was immense, just mtbing around the cotton mill towns you can see the leftovers of billionaire money, even the goddam chimneys were made into 300ft high amazing architecture.

The industries had to die, their time was over.
Liverpool docks had 40 thousand workers, about 20K of them actually worked, along came containers and it was game over, they striked till the last man and ruined Liverpools reputation for a generation.
Which wasnt brilliant to start with.
Funnily enough Heseltine is a bit of a hero here, because he stuck up for scousers.

I came from that northern town full of cretins, and they don’t need saving by immigrants they need to fuck off out of their dead towns and find a job. Just because a stereotype exists doesn’t mean it’s wrong. I have a million times more respect for an immigrant than I do for any of that lot. At least they’re trying to make a better life for themselves.

He's right though, we need to progress, not look in the past for our guidance for the future, which we always do.

Which you want to do.

So @Job if you don't blame the Tories for the decline of the North, who do you blame? Migrants?
As I said, just a new world order, we cant compete on large scale manufacturing so have moved to the service sector which is based in London mostly.
But if course its slowly coming back because its cheaper up here, even dirty old Skem near us has pulled in a lot of big name companies, they just need to sort out the goddam M6 in the midlands, instead of that stupid HS2.

Its not a dead town though is it, it can be turned around, I'm just not sure that turning it into bombay by the sea is required.

Seriously..not look at the past for our future guidance, thats such a ridiculous notion..theres even a quote for it.
Those who fail to study the past are bound to repeat it.
