just tried NF out.. havent tested it since beta.. and what can i say.. LAGG, LAGG, LAGG.. was actually thinking of playing some daoc until my acc runs out, the only reason really being that wow beta open beta is over.. How ever the lagg i just witnessed was worse then a BIG RR raid.. there I was facing Blendrake faste moments ago. as soon as i faced the friggin keep i froze.. and dead... buff up have another go... freeezee and dead... oh and im sitting on a p4 2.8ghz with 1gb ram and a geforce 4ti...

New Frontiers was probably the final blow then for me could have played some casual rvr but now with the constant lagg there is no point in doing so..

yeah but whats your connection ? because im running on a amd 1.4 with 700meg of ram and ive gotten no lag or framelosee.

If your running with everything turned on take a leaf out of the quake 3 experts.

Turn off everything that is eye candy based.
IE anti ailiasing reflective water etc etc. Spell effects and names are good too.

You might have a bottleneck somewhere on your computer thats cuasing this massive lag. Or worse SPYware/Trojans etc.

If your running in toa mode then relfective water isnt really a requirment.

If your running on a 56k modem then really you should upgrade ADSL is dirt cheap and probbly more cost effective at the moment than dial up modems.

Other than that i would say <shrug> cant think of anything else.

my connection is 10mb i use both a firewall and a antivirus program.. to top it off i scan comp with adaware each day.. dont see why i should have that amount of lag was worse then a oldtime relic raid..

Same same Altho I only have 0,5MB conn and 700 something RAM, still hasnt been any problems before.

I have had same prob went bye bye when i upgraded my firewall to an WinXP SP2 comp version.

I'd say your computer has some problems Faravid...or your settings are not very optimal for your hardware.

well i played with 2 acc and had nice shiny waters etc... in windowed mode and all.. tried using normal water etc it got better almost like good old keepdefence.. but who cares im out of here the 7th dec..

Thought you albs where social since none of you solo (specially minstrels, infils, scouts) but then again that must be a wrong thought of me since you apperantly cant see the reason behind me making a thread on a community I´ve been in for so long and probably wont leave although I switch to another game.. :kissit:
