btw: wtf is up with the super short product lifecycles these days!
Thats one of the things i like about iPhones the fact that your tech is not out of date every 4 months.

No, with iphones your tech is out of date before it's released
It's only not out of date compared with other iphones.
Only if your contract runs out in June/JulySo if iPhones are your thing the regular 12 month cycle is a good thing IMO.
Only if your contract runs out in June/July
Yeah, I must get the right person each time. I got decent deals when I upgraded my wife's phone in spring, and again in July when I upgraded my own contract. They wanted me to lock in with 24 months but I made sure that I got something to make it worth my while. They would be soze, but you'd have to be sucking off the right person in disconnections/ retentions to get a 12 month contract on any phone these days. Most iphone contracts are made unattractive at 18 months, they push for 24.
This looks pretty good! Especially for £99!

With the power button issue on my nexus one, I'm going to be picking up a desire HD on launch, and flogging my nexus one after it gets returned from HTC.
I can always pick up another phone in 6 months or so.
