Ordered my Desire yesterday from voda 900min, 3000text, unlimited net, fair usage 18month £40.

Was told delivery would be Tuesday, I can wait that long me thinks...Woke this morning from a text from Voda its been delayed, we will text you with a new delivery date....ADAFADAFfsss /gutted.

Think of the money i'll save in shoes though, from not running around looking for a signal on T-Mobile.

Between the Pink Screen bug and the software glitch a lot of the Desire's have been recalled we were asked to send about 40 back yesterday. (I work for a small company that sells mobiles)

Ahhh fucks sake I am soooo weak. I have decided on getting a desire. CPW do it for £390 on orange payg. They force you to buy a register a Orange payg sim for 3.99, but the phone is unlocked and unbranded. Phones4u are doing this soon as well. I know people that work for both firms, so a nice 20% discount should soften the blow

I wonder if I can get at least £200 for my hero?

I bought a screen protector off the htc website. Also bought a case off Amazon but its very tight on the phone and puts pressure on the screen

Which is why they've brought out their Access Gateway/SureSignal box. It's a GSM repeater that uses your broadband connection for the backhaul.

Blackberry phones on Orange can use UMA which is a way to hand over calls from GSM/3G onto wifi, once again using your broadband.

Guess so, going to transfer my old number anyway.

For some reason, my bookmarks widget doesn't work properly. I click a link, it opens the browser, but just sits on the last page I was on instead of trying to load the new one? -_-

Ok, really lost on this one. Trying to get my old contacts in the new phone. Somehow it won't let me get anything off my old vodafone sim because it's locked, so I had to transfer the contacts onto another phone, then from that phone to my new SIM.

Now, on my Desire, I can do "import from SIM", all of the contacts get created on the phone, but none of them contain phone numbers?! The SIM contacts do have numbers on -_- wth is going on

Not sure with that ST^, I would suggest; use your old phone, export your contacts to your pc as a .csv file. Upload the csv to googlemail. Sync your desire with google contacts.

If you do it this way, you can keep the 2nd numbers etc attached to your contacts from your old phone.

Don't have the data cable (it's my brother's old k770i). I even just tried sending the whole lot over bluetooth and the same thing happened -- contacts created, no fucking numbers!

Might be the way sony stores the contacts? Formatting may be different? Can you borrow a cable from somewhere? Or maybe go to the networks shop and get them to do it for you.

I can get by without it, there aren't too many people I actually care about being in contact with Just as a techie, this is the kinda thing that might annoy me until I figure it out. I just can't fathom how the phone recognises the numbers, giving you the option to call/message them, but can't extract that info when importing them.

I typed my old contacts out into google mail so i could sort the formatting and pictures!
Once you do that it works perfectly with every new android phone you get!

I am gagging to get my desire in may when I can upgrade!

And iPhone, and most smart phones, so it's probably worth doing (or at least putting them somewhere sync'able)
