Umm, what do you mean? The Desier and Nexus are awesome phones but best ever i dont think so there are phone that have the beating already announced. Like this Super AMOLED screen and about 3 and a half times the gfx of the Desier/Nexus
Don't expect that to remain the case for too long once XDAdev get started on it.Never really got on with SE phones, but the x10 is only Android 1.6 right?
Having just read GSMArena's review of the X10 I think I'll be having that one. Most of the minor issues should be fixed by the retail firmware (funny when reviews pan software issues on pre-release software), and they reckon overall, it's a cracking bit of kit. No multi-touch granted, however I have never seen the point of that anyway. It's just for Apple fans who want another excuse to caress their shiny new toy.
Given that HTC smell of ubergay I reckon it's the only way to go personally.
It's useful? It shouldn't be patented though. No multi-touch granted, however I have never seen the point of that anyway.

The Nexus One is 3.7" 480x800.
The HTC Desire is 3.7" 480x800.
The Samsung Galaxy S is 4.0" 480x800.
The Sony Ericsson X10 is 4.0" 480x854.
My personal preference right now is the Nexus One for it's noice cancelling mic, voice search and having a personalised engraving on the back.
I'll consider a HTC Desire if O2 don't stock the N1 (which is probable).
I'll reserve judgement on an X10 until I've played with one.
The good news is that XDA-Developers are supporting all three models with ongoing ROM development, and Android phones are easy to root. There'll eventually be a ROM for each that has the best of each handset included. Android 2.1 from N1, SenseUI from Desire and TimeScape/MediaScape from Sony.
Desire release delayed on T-Mobile and still no release date from o2. End of April start of May would be my guess.

Got my hands on my Desire about 30mins ago it's currently going through the recommended 3 hour initial charge
Anyone know any trustworthy unlocking websites?
So far the phone is wonderful it's just a beautiful phone to look at and i am gonna sell my iPhone 3GS now
My GF has ordered one now too.
It's taking some getting used to flicking through the menus etc but so far i understand why HTC is fast becoming a well respected mobile phone maker.
Y'shoulda gone online with your phone and did a collect at store deal, you get a web price right there in the store and it actually *is* competitive. That's what I did when I was there last .
Interesting. My missus has earmarked the Desire as her next phone and I'm glad it lives up to the hype.
What is it about the Desire that makes you want to switch from the iPhone?
I woulda done but no t mobile stores have the Desire yet until next week so had to order online.
