I'm sure i was reading something this morning about the supersonic from someone who actually has their hands on it and it's not the hd2 with android, but it's quite a small phone only 3.2 inches, although i could well have dreames that.

edit: actually that might be the incredible, but there seems to be a lot of confusion between the two.

Well so far the only issue I've found with the Nexus One is the touchscreen - sometimes, it will go barmy, registering incorrect touches (ie pressing something an inch or so below where I actually press).

This is a software issue, as it can be immediately resolved by going into and then straight back out of standby, using the button on the top of the phone.

I imagine its a bug with the pinch and zoom feature, and will be resolved shortly.

I think the excitement with iPhone/Android/Windows mobiles have left Nokia and Symbian phones behind.

a guy at work got one, OS was nice but the phone was an old school brick, just too big to be practical these days.

Heh, read the thread, loads of us have one. It's a great phone but I think there might be better available now or on the very immediate horizon.

I have one, it's awesome, but like most phones there are cons as well as pros. I say Awesome, but it's more the OS along with HTC sense that makes it what it is. I agree with Nath, the Hero will be old hat shortly.

The HTC Desire looks pretty sweet (Nexus but with HTC sense someone compared it as...?) and seems to be more speedy than the Hero (the email app is a dead giveaway along with the rapid helicopter view switching)

YouTube- HTC Desire

So the advice would be to maybe wait until April for the Nexus?

Depends on what you want from your phone Aada, personally I would wait for the "next gen" of Android phones.

I'm quite excited to find out what Apple have in their box of tricks, there is no way they'll let the Android phones take over. If they bring out a multitasking iPhone then I would seriously consider it.

Yeah i know everyone hates the iPhone but honestly the only thing i hate about it is the shitty battery life. Just seen the HTC desire though looks quite nice think my GF is just gonna go with an iphone probably she wants something different but isn't sure on taking a risk.

Yep waiting myself to see what Apple have in the works as a successor but there are only 3 things i could really think of that they would need to improve for me atleast and that is

1. Battery life.

2. Flash for Safari

3. Better camera

Another problem with the iPhone is that it's ludicrously overpriced.

If she likes the hero, wait for the legend which is a slightly faster hero encased in tooled aluminium, it's so apple it makes the iphone look like a brick. it makes me a bit moist.

That browser looks brilliant easily one of the things both me and my GF look for in a phone as instead of switching the laptop/PC on we just grab either the iPhone or the old iTouch thats laying around for our browsing needs.

Nath you're wrong. To be honest it's a pretty fair price given that my iPhone owning friends have told me that the iPhone will make me come harder, reverse baldness, cure cancer, pull hot birds and landslide the Tories into power.

Where the HTC / Android phones have a long way to catch up on is the music side. The cover flow / iPod functionality is gorgeous on the iPhone - that I cannot criticise it for and I long for the Hero to have it.

Please improve the music player HTC. :(

I quite like the standard music player, but G try out "MixZing" it's aces. Pick any one song and it'll scour your music library (aided by the web) to find similar tracks and fill out a playlist. It works remarkably well.

What we are annoyed at thou is that most of our music is bought from itunes so that means she won't be able to have it on another phone if its not apple eh?

She is quite liking the look of the Desire now looking at the deals it seems Vodafone is the only network that support this phone atm, i haven't been on vodafone since 1999 how is the service? 3g etc?

all british carriers will be bringing out the desire, starting with t-mobile on 26th march and the rest in april. best decision by a phone maker in a long long time, exclusivity only works if you are apple, i think the pre killed the exclusive market model for everything else.

I am so torn by this. I think the Nexus is a better looking phone and i think the Desire will be everywhere so the Nexus seems best. But i bet as soon as i import it a UK site will appear for it :)

Aads, wait till the end of April if she can. The desire will be available on all 4 networks by then, and we will find out if the sony x10 is brilliant or another brilliant flop.

As a HD2 user, I think you will be better off and happier waiting for the supersonic?

This is for my personal phone so one slightly smaller may be better the Supersonic looks nice though. But my Magic is getting abit old now so not sure how long i want to wait. The legend might be the best pick but i bet its a finger print magnet.

Why? Music ain't DRM'd anymore and you can get iTunes to switch it out to MP3 anyway?
