Got my nexus, wow it's impressive! I didn't realise how much was in the android marketplace, they need to re-organise it!

It's multitouch as soon as you set the locale to UK. I manually upgraded to the latest version of android as well (2.1-update).

Yeah the android marketplace is really badly organised.

Trem, nath, o2 have never sent me a warning for my usage yet. I believe they told me 230mb when I asked. They don't really care unless you consistently go well over that. If they suspect you of having tethered your phone.

Rarely mate, I haven't used it since before xmas. It's mainly for net use when I'm out of the office and really need access to my files and proper email. Only really need it during the busy months of summer.

Dys, is the case for it that good? I really fancy the Vaja case, I know how good their stuff is.

It's a very simple foam case. You just slide the phone in the top of it.

If you really like the Vaja cases then get one as it certainly isn't in the same league as that.

The nexus one has noise cancelling, the desire does not, the desire has the sensor pad rather than a track ball, the desire has physical keys rather than touch keys on the main screen for the call and function buttons. That is it.

The desire doesn't having the desktop dock connectors...
and as soon as they make the dock that isn't £45 I will definitely get one!

But yes there is very very little between them and I would quite like to have the HTC Sense UI...

New keyboard input method from the makers of t9. I'm using it without problem, as is chilly iirc.

How much was the engraving option? I prefer the way the market is displayed on the newer android phones compared to the hero, the screen looks lovely too.

The engraving is free, you just specify it when ordering. Two lines max.

The screen is astonishingly good, I can't wait for televisions with this technology.

It doesn't deal with sunlight very well though apparently, have you tried it in daylight yet?

I'm very impressed with the nexus one, it's build quality is so far above the other HTC phones I've seen. Put it this way, if I didn't know it was made by HTC, I wouldn't believe it!

As to the screen, it's great, but suffers a bit outdoors like all AMOLED screens.

Have you upgraded the firmware? The battery is fine on mine since the late 2009 update. It does help if you install a good task killer and use the data widgets to turn off wifi and mobile net when not needed.

For those of you who have a Nexus, how accurate is the voice control?
I mean can you write and send a text without touching the phone at all?
Can you dial a phone number just by saying the numbers?

Yes, I'm thinking seriously about getting one but I want some testimonials from people who have actually tried it. The voice control is the "killer app" for me.

What's the story for turn-based satnav? Is Google Navigator available in UK yet?

I've only used voice control once or twice and it was pretty accurate.
The more you use it the more accurate it becomes I believe.

I think the voice control thing is only for the actual writing of texts. You can't open the text app or send using voice controls as far as I am aware.

Ive not tried calling anyone with voice commands. I'm not sure if that is an option. Ive certainly not seen it as an option.
