I know 1.6 does not have multi touch, but the interview seems to suggest that the x10 hardware itself does not support it either.
That's because all the videos are from 3 months ago when it was running pre-production code? And by all accounts, the sluggishness is only in Timescape, which you don;t actually have to use.
O2 finally caved to Android? About god damn time.
Fair enough, the desire is already on pre-order at expansys for £449, and will probably be less at launch. How much does the nexus one work out at?
I've just ordered a Nexus One from Google
Also, the Nexus One case at Vaja - Leather Products is pure sex.
I'm still loving the Satio, a nice mix of touchscreen loveliness and classic SonyEricsson. Reminds me a lot of my W950, just with an awesome camera and slightly less annoying keypad.
Now I just need some apps for it, so if anyone knows of anything decent for S60 Touch, I'm all ears. Something that gives me footy scores and one of those barcode scanner price looker upper thingys would be nice.
A lad at work has a Satio and its just so.....big. He had loads of issues with it freezing as well. Shame as I did fancy one.
There are a few minor differences between the Nexus and the Desire and if you excl HTC Sense UI I would rather have the Nexus One...
though they refuse to specify a fair usage limit.
The O2 Web Bolt On can only be used for web browsing on your phone and a fair use policy applies. But if your usage exceeds that of other users, which is normally expected to be below 200MB a month, you'll be charged standard rates for additional browsing. We'll send you a warning text message advising you to limit your usage before this happens, and a text message to let you know when you're being charged.
The nexus one has noise cancelling, the desire does not, the desire has the sensor pad rather than a track ball, the desire has physical keys rather than touch keys on the main screen for the call and function buttons. That is it.
It is very hidden away, I did some digging when I was sorting out my dongle/O2 thingy and about the best I could find was 1gb a month or below is considered fair use but even that wasn't clear in the wording. Will try and find it again.
Edit -
This is about the bolt on web use -
