So, book readers don't need to invest in characters? Guess I've been doing it wrong then oO

As the book readers know it is coming I suppose they would not of invested as heavily in that character?

There is a very negative reaction to this episode in America, the two sides seem to be the the book readers and the TV audience. My favourite quote for far has been

“Most of you who think this was some sort of brilliant move or something don’t understand the difference between a book audience and a TV audience, TV audiences need to invest in characters. Most of the other characters I don’t care much about. While the show will probably still appeal to the ‘wow’ crowd, it’s mass appeal just got beheaded.”

More like TV audiences (esp. Yanks) don't have the attention span to figure out whats going on so settled for rooting for the only big name actor.

If people do stop watching because of this, it's their loss. I just hope there arent enough idiots to affect the ratings too badly. On the other hand, I'm guessing there'll be a large increase in viewers thanks to word of mouth.

We've got several amazing storylines on the go - if they can't hook someone, that person has something wrong with them. Next weeks finale is going to be epic

Tbh, I read the books first and I hated Ned's death. I think that "nobody is safe" is fun, but sometimes it goes too far.

Anyway, was a really good episode. Shame Tyrion didn't fight like he was supposed to.

this was actually the first thing I complained about the episode - cutting the first battle out completely was a bad move - obviously the main battle vs jaime was off page in the book as it was off screen in the show so i'm not fussed!

but Tyrion was supposed to kill a few and Bronn was supposed to be "not much help" xD

also Bronn for King !

Actually I think it was a good thing they cut it, Tyrion should be awesome because of his intellect, not because of his fighting and I don't think there's any way to make a dwarf fighting fully grown men look realistic or believable. Besides, going by Camelot good fights on TV just seems to cost way too much for what it's worth, I'd much rather have good dialogue scenes if I had to pick because let's face it, the battles aren't as important.

Watched it with my brother who was pretty shocked. Hoping this might spur him on to reading his first book in a decade.
Shae was suitably enigmatic, another excellent bit of casting.

She's in Gegen Die Wand also, which is supposed to be a brilliant film - not seen it yet myself though. One of those people who looks incredible from a certain angle and utter doggers from others though I have to say.

Still, I may give the porn a look... for curiosity's sake of course. :D

I just found a 3.12Gb torrent with all of Sibel's scenes. Members only, sorry. :)

There's no mistaking it's her. You can tell she's had a nose-job since her porn days and the tattoos mean she can't say it was someone else (chinese glyph on left arm, tribal knot across lower back).

So she wasn't lying when she said she knew how to please a man. :)
