I think she is far from ugly and considering she is a fighter and a hard bastard, I think she looks great. She may not be a looker like Dany but she is fine IMO.

She is exactly as she should be. In the book it goes into how he feels a connection with her, despite her being quite plain and not overly attractive. Theon had also spent a long time on the boat, with only the captain's daughter for company.

That's ridiculous. I didn't see anyone complaining about the many, many scenes where it was just women involved.

just watched EP3 and the "gayness" was for about a minute - and considering the amount of bummage and incest so far in the show it wasnt too bad...

Maergery Tyrell comes across as a bit of a hoebag which i dont remember from the books (not in person at least)

Ep 4 was the first really great episode in S2.

Tyrion's one liners in the chat in the throne room with the boy king (about threats) and the brilliant way he deals with his cousin when he delivers the message from the Queen.

Joffrey deserves a real good kicking. Well, even more of a kicking for his treatment of the hoes.

Oh, and the ending was a real WTF moment!!

BIG change of plot having Arya as cup bearer to Tywin instead of Roose Bolton. I guess that means the whole Vargo Hoat subplot is ditched and someone else will be lopping Jaime's hand off...

It's an interesting show, sometimes bored of certain plotlines dragging, but as a whole entertaining.

For someone who has read the books extensively there have been a number of jarring moments so far. It seems that in Series 2 they are taking a lot more liberties with the story than they did in the first series. Nothing anywhere near as bad as Jackson's soft porn dream sequence in LotR yet though!

The one that really wound me up (far more than is reasonable) is the random renaming of Theon's sister, presumably to avoid confusion with OSHA which is of course something entirely different.

Peter Dinklage is still the fuckin' mutts nuts though.

I remember him in "Threshold" and thinking "I hope we see more of this guy".

While I do agree, I think that Ser Jorah Mormont (played by the most excellent Iain Glen) and Bronn (played by the most unlikely Jerome Flynn) have stolen a couple of Harley Davidsons, got fucked up on Jack Daniels, killed some hookers and are as we speak chasing Dinklage across the country to retrieve the show and fence it off for cash to pay for more JD and hookers. In fact, Jorah is probably my favourite character/casting across the two series. Then again I always liked him from the books.

I saw the first series of the show and thought Jorah was decently cast.....

Then I watched the two seasons of Downton abbey and now all I can think every time I see hims is "Sir Richard you're a prick!"

Dinklage really does chew up the scenery every time he comes on screen though. Seems like a lovely bloke. (judging by his acceptance speech for the emmey he won, which yes I know probably means nothing).

They have got most of the casting spot on, though I am not overly convinced by the new mountain. He doesn't look particularly big really. I much preferred the one from series 1.

My favourite character from the books is Arya and they have got her character right, just a shame they have savaged her story so far.
