Love javi Martinez never seems to miss the target when shooting, got some vital goals for me from improbable angles, and tidy in possession as well. A bargain for the price he is on the ah. Not sure about fabregas yet

He's cheap because of his pace . What people forget/overlook is that pace is pretty much irrelevant in midfield. Still, all the better for those of us who value more than just being able to sprint down the line like a headless chicken.

I really really hate that they haven't fixed referees calling fouls properly. So many times people win the ball off you by just running into you and abusing the impact engine. It's so shit, running into someone, knocking them off balance and stealing the ball is a fucking foul, especially when it's done from behind. But it's given about 5% of the time. Infuriating.

My favourite is when their defender just stands there as you run past, your striker runs into the defender and the defender gets a free kick.

since I've moved back to console gaming bought this as my 2nd game, dived straight into online random matches and my first goal was a dirty chip by Zamora to score against liverpool I practically howled with laughter as I havent played in ages. Shame the ultimate team thing is down I wanted to see what it was like, anyway feel free to add me on XBL if any want to play a random match when bored / boost your win/loss ratio on me

Slowly getting the hang of the various new bits in this, slowly progressing through the leagues in H2H. Not liking some of the changes to the Pro Clubs bit, the fix to stop hacked pros now means you can't offline boost through Career Mode and starting off your pro is so shit.

I've scored a couple of them, I think the pleasure in scoring them does come from imagining the guy controlling the other team screaming and banging his controller on his forehead as the ball rolls in.

Ohh ffs, i just scratched my fifa13 disk to fuck and it wont work now... For some reason its been lagging like fuck in online matches. So why I was in game i tried moving the xbox closer to the router.... "crunch crunch" "disk it not readable"... fuck

I downloaded the demo last night to see if I liked it. I think the last Footie game I played for any significant amount of time was probably PES 2010.

Fuck me these games have got harder. I honestly played probably 5 games before I scored from open play. And I have yet to score a goal from a through ball or anything that isn't a turn and shoot from the edge of the box.

Ok I've just bought the game, played a 20 minute game (each half) and won 15-1 on easy.
Changed it to the next level and both attacking and defending is harder (as it should be), however I find crossing hard work.
Corners and free kicks are both hard work to take.

Miri do you or anyone else have a good forum post explaining some of these basic things?

Also I understand finesse shot, but when I use flair shot it looks like a normal shot. What's that all about?

I dont know whats happened but i seem to be appalling in this version. I am in the bottom div of seasons and my record is 0-2-4. Also lost quite afew ultimate team games.

What is pissing me off though is the inability to get the ball off the opposition, seriously all you have to do is stop, pull it back and you cant get close. annoys me to fuck

I need a money making tactic. Currently I'm just trying to win bidding wars on the cheap and sell players for an extra 500-1.5k coins, surely there's a better way than this?

Just started with this FUT thing, gave it a miss completely last year but as I got the season ticket for early access thought I'd give it a go. Apart from EA's inability to keep a server running I quite like it - spent all afternoon yesterday waiting for an auction for a manager to complete my team, I won it and then EA decided it would take about 12 hours to complete the damn thing.

Other than grinding bronze tournaments and topping up with the odd contract card, how do people get gold teams - the value they go for seems mad. Also what determines the yellow or green lines and what difference does it make when it says I've 100 chemistry?

Christ EA are an incompetent bunch of cunts aren't they? I haven't been able to log onto the web app since I got the game, and now every time I log in on a console I have to input a new security question and answer.

Oh and just bought a player, the money's gone and the player is no where to be seen. Suck a dick EA.

yeah thats a bit of an issue at the moment, finished transactions seem to sit in limbo for a while then the player will appear. keep checking your watch list until it shows as finished.

Must admit i made mine from selling off players i got in the free packs. the lines and chemistry come from a group of players being either from the same nation, or the same league, as in my 2 gold teams below (using 2 teams so I can rotate between the 2, so less fitness issues)

Mainly newcastle players, with a few others to rotate in (all premiership)

think the higher the chemistry the "better" they play together, running onto passes, better off the ball movement etc.

Below 7 chemistry they lose stats in-game, 7-9 chemistry effects things like player movement etc but base stats remain the same.

How good is Ben Arfa? Outperforms Ronaldo for me.

Haha. I'm getting a lot more of that this year also, I put it down to the vast majority of players playing on ultra defensive + counter attack as it's the new trend.
