Giving up smoking and eating so little must be brutal.

For me keeping up with the diet is going to be impossible over Christmas. Going back to the parents house next week and I just know the fridge will be full of mince pies and all sorts of shit.

Currently it is ok.... I've experienced panic attack type symptoms earlier today but just spoke to myself firmly and I managed to calm down. I then went to the gym which sorted it out :). I enjoyed a yummy 2 egg, 5gms cheese and 25gms of smoked salmon omelette when I got in with some salad which was so damn good :)

Goooo yoni.

Although it sounds like you're on a really low calorie intake, is there some reason for such an extreme?

I've never smoked, drink about once per year and get plenty of exercise. It takes considerable dedication to consuming Malteasers and Burger King to stay suitably fat and unhealthy-looking given the disadvantages conferred on me by my otherwise healthy lifestyle.

Currently coming to the end if day 3... Zoned outfit a while today which was interesting but ok. The vlcd is to ensure I reboot my view on eating, I actually love the feeling of ketosis and find the clarity of thought it gives me amazing. I achieve amazing things when I become this focused .... Last time I passed my finals and moved country for the first time, this time I'm giving up smoking and ensuring I am physically fit :)

Nothing will stop me now I'm in that place :)

Just for clarification I have started eating conventional food now although it is protein based, so still in ketosis but a lower calorie deficit .

I am stubborn and an all or nothing kinda girl so once I am prepared mentally then consider it done :)

It will come :)

A week without smoking, my weight hasn't really changed but my measurements have.

Had a physical today where I was told that my BP is that of someone in their late 20s (117/72) my pulse is good at 61 and I have the lung capacity of someone in their late teens (510), which is a fucking miracle when you considered everything they have inhaled since I was 16....

Blood work and urine test to come back next week (hopefully all will be ok), even so I feel like I have got away with murder ......

You'll be wanting a colonoscopy as well then? ;)

They have suggested that if my stomach issues don't improve once I have been a non smoker for a while longer

What meds do you take for it?

From my experience blood tests have pretty limited value unless they're to investigate specific symptoms - the "Health Checks" a lot of companies offer are mostly bullshit. Even checking your cholesterol has very limited value.

Just peptid for the acid and I avoid wheat. I'm in Sweden so it is thorough, eg I am being referred due to the hereditary stroke and breast cancer issues. They will check my intestines under general from both directions should i continue to get some discomfort :). Much more thorough than anything I have experienced in the UK.

Perhaps, but there's thorough and then there's unnecessary :) I'm not saying that in your case at all, but if everyone had all these investigations as routine, the NHS would be completely bankrupt - far, far, far worse than it already is. And it wouldn't help very many people - they wouldn't be able to help a lot more as a result.

Have they not tried you on omeprazole / similar ? Guessing they've checked you for H.pylori ?

They do a lot of unnecessary investigating in other countries, which often causes more trouble than its worth.

If you can give up smoking, that will by far make the biggest difference to your health than any investigation or treatment. :)

Nice, I went from almost bursting out of 40" pants, to buying some 34" pants that were tight, that are now getting very loose.

Well, 199.8 this morning. From 242.6 in late august.
Pretty happy as when I started keto I really wasn't expecting to hit my goal before the end of the year, or even 2-3 months into next year.
New goal: 195.
