Evade + stealth questions

hmm, right ok, this isnt a whine btw ^_^

first - stealth - at 50 spec stealth how fast do u move relative to normal run speed ? and how much difference does each lvl of spec make to movement rate ? (ie is it worth going from say 40 to 45 spec for extra speed) and is the Realm Ability for stealthed speed worth getting ?

Evading - i asume each lvl of evade is a % chance... anyone know how much ? i just acquired the Dodger 1 ability, on top of Evade 6, and wondering if it makes that much difference and wether its worth spending Reaml Ability points on ¬_¬

There's very little reason to train Stealth above 40. I suspect the majority of Infiltrators only spec stealth to 36(+/-2), you can reach 50stealth through items/RR.

I think stealthed movement with stealth at 50, is half the unstealthed speed. I haven't heard much about the Stealth RA, but Dodger, Mastery of Pain and Ignore Pain are popular choices.

Each level of Evade adds a 5% chance to evade. Evade V = 25%, Evade VI = 30%, Evade VII = 35%.

Each level of Dodger adds an extra 3% chance to evade, so with EvadeVI and Dodger, I have a 33% chance to Evade. I'm thinking of taking Dodger to the top, which will give me a 50% chance to Evade!

That'll take most of my points upto RR4, so I may reconsider :/

There are some dex based modifiers in there too, I think simply saying you have a 50% chance to evade is a little vague ..

Stealth you should take to 36, like Generic says you will get no benefit from overspeccing stealth. Same goes for envenom you only need to take that to 36 too (provided you can get enough +env items for +11)

Then all you need is RR4

got the +5 envenom jewel from DF.. cant find any others ? anyone got any they want to sell ? or know where they drop ?

yup Both Qui AND Dex factors in Evade chance.

btw 50 Dex and 50 Qui = base factor of 1.0 to evade, ie does not boost or negate it, so every poitn in dex/qui above it is a step towards boosting you Evade chances

Virulent Fishing Hook +2 Drops in Lyonesse from Danion fishermen.

Don't know if they've changed the Thrusting Frenzy from Llyn Barfog yet..if they haven't it's +4 env from it

Also epic armor gives some points,dunno how much it''ll be after patch since they're changing the stats a bit.+4 or +5 I think (Thorn posted it somewhere here)

epic armor is +4 atm, on the gloves.

the +5 from DF is a gem, and so is the virulent hook, so thats a pity.

for the non-50's who want some +env, go to barfog.

Regal Gloves, has +3 (i think it is. could be +2)

thats all i ever found.

if you are a thrust infil, Dodger is a MUST.

if you are a slasher, im not sure.
personally, i prefer a +5% / level chance to crit hit. but thats just me

Stealth:

With Minstrel/Archers stealth provides only cover, no Detect Hidden, Climb Walls, Distraction, Danger Sense or Safe Fall. these only apply to Assassin classes (SB, NS, Inf). You need base stealth to be high to get those. Skills from Stealth come from base spec. You need 50 spec to get last Safe Fall, but its not worth it. BUT, the efficiency of Stealth is "Stealth spec / Character Level * 100". This is the percentage which is used to calculate speed and the range others see you. With 100% (eg L13 with stealth lvl 13), evencons have a hard time seeing you and you move with 100% stealth speed. The speed you move with L1 and 1 stealth is the same as L50 with 50 stealth.

Evade:

Based on Qui & Dex (50/50), evade lvl raises by lvl and can be raised with RAs (Dodger) and totally is worth it especially if you have good evade styles (Dragonfang with Thrust, Comeback with LAxe)

Cant remember the accurate percentages of evade. But Dodger is worth it.

Speed while stealthed is also dependent on class. Assassins move fast in stealth for same spec than archers (I think) who in turn move faster than minstrels (we have nerfed-ghetto-stealth. )
