Anyhoo, there are apparently 19,000 train drivers in the UK. Average salary £48,500, so you add 50% to that for overheads, pensions etc. Sooo...19000 x (48500 x 1.5) = £1,382,250,000 a year, so at £700K per year to automate, the business case writes itself.
