An issue that predates brexit? No - it's one of the causes of Brexit.

Brexit was a fuck you.

No one is claiming it didn’t predate Brexit. The EU was sending funding to many areas of the UK because they were seen as some of the poorest in the EU.

Yeah, 100%. I wasn't dissing it - I was just saying that they're under-egging it. Poverty is a direct cause of not just Brexit - but the rise of authoritarianism in the west.

I've made the point many times - inequality is the battle of our time and we're losing it. Massively. The future is grim and wholesale reform of capitalism is absolutely required.

But other capitalist EU countries did much better on this.

Much better than dogshit is still shit.

The EU is still seeing a tilt towards authoritarianism. It's worse in the UK and the States, yep. Because the inequalities are worse here. But it's still shit elsewhere - and aiming for shit is aiming for just a bit behind us on the "graph of heading headlong into a clusterfuck".

Yes, the "powerful economic establishment" presumably comprised mostly of people who have a clue what they're doing. As opposed to this stupid fucking idiot:

In related news my latest pension statement shows that it dropped by about 3 grand in the last year. Her fault.

Half of the "fiscal hole" Jeremy Hunt was tasked with getting out of was down to her and Kwarteng, they cost the country something like £30bn between them. Never mind returning to front line politics, they should both be behind bars tbh. She can emphatically fuck off trying to portray herself as a victim.

Well she's fuckwitted herself right out of a job most likely. Which is a rather ignominious end for Britain's first black female MP.

You can't be zero-tolerance on racism and then define a heirarchy of racism which ranks racism by which is more hurtful - especially when you base it on colour of skin!

Speaking of racism

Am I missing something here? These are the descendants of the cunts my (and your) ancestors paid to compensate for their "property" and they want the government to apologise and offer reparations? What the absolute fuck?

Talk about privatising profit and socialising losses.

Perhaps any still-wealthy descendants of those families who were compensated by the government for the end of the slave trade might care to contribute to any reparations.

My dislike of the DUP grows a little bit more:

DUP leader Sir Jeffrey Donaldson says he's disappointed with the Stormont budget set out by the Northern Ireland secretary.

He accuses Chris Heaton-Harris of "playing politics with some of our public services" because of the lack of provision for pay rises for health workers and other civil servants.

He says: "We can only deliver effective and good public services in Northern Ireland if we’ve got the people to do it.

"There’s a real problem with recruitment and retention of public sector workers, some of whom haven’t had a decent pay award now for a number of years."

Turns out Labour are just as happy to base policy on their donors interests - however as their donors have high status interests that's all ok.

For the record the "no new oil and gas" is a fucking retarded idea that will decimate tax revenues, leave a few thousands Scottish workers on the scrapheap and probably put our carbon emissions up as we'll have to ship our gas 3000 miles from the States.

We've already got all we require really. Especially since the Tories have been pumping out new oil and gas contracts and Biden signed off on fucking shitloads as one of the first things he did - enough to blow any carbon budget on it's own.

It's just Labour greenwashing itself. We all know they're Tory-lite and fuck all will change when they get in (apart from more interminable hate-speech laws and a furthering of leftie culture).

Well at least he’s not coming back as Tory leader. I’ll take that as a positive.

Give it time, he will consider it again.

His parting shots are even funnier, it is just one of his many problems in not taking any responsibility:

Boris Johnson's resignation statement is long - over 1,000 words - and we're still going through it to pull out key lines.

In it, he appears to take a parting swipe at Rishi Sunak's government.

He says: "When I left office last year the government was only a handful of points behind in the polls. That gap has now massively widened.

"Just a few years after winning the biggest majority in almost half a century, that majority is now clearly at risk. Our party needs urgently to recapture its sense of momentum and its belief in what this country can do.

"We need to show how we are making the most of Brexit and we need in the next months to be setting out a pro-growth and pro-investment agenda."

I think he got that majority because everyone was sick of brexit and just wanted it "done". He promised to "do" it with his "deal" which was just May's deal rebadged. He lied, we all know it. He can't help himself, he's a compulsive liar.

He hasn't been doing anything as an MP anyway, so it's no loss to his former constituents.

All this fucking shit just because David Cameron wanted to play party politics with the country's future.
