Week later, still going strong, like the game, like (most) of the community, server selection is ace because i can avoid most russians(or rather people speaking in ancient latin in general).

I'm definitely support at heart, yesterday managed a 0/0/11 on ancient apparatus and a crossmap freeze which was "epic".

Dota 2 was ready for download so I go like alright I download 5gb and when its done i login to play I got some useless spectator version.

You know when you're getting above the "average skill"(if there's such a thing) line in dota 2 when you start getting annoyed at things you did when you started.

Had to actually stop myself from being annoyed and be awesome instead

The spectator is free. You need an activation code to play the game. Once you get that you won't have to patch anymore

Lina always seems to be tough, but I've never been impressed with Maiden when I've played her, damage output and utility always seems a bit meh!

I like shadow shaman, seems to suit my play style a lot more.

Yeap, crystal is just a support, but when you got her setting up kills it's like being a kid in a candystore of death

I've been trying to make time to get going on DOTA2.

it being new i hope the community hasn't had the time to devolve as the LoL one has yet. That said I have invested some cash in LoL


But a question...what is the significance of nighttime? Having only rolled around in half a bot game I am unsure..

Nighttime does have an impact on vision, i.e how the Fog of War works. Can be quite serious when you're going for a gank or standing alone in a lane. Have to keep it in mind, atleast!

However, there's characters that have better nightvision than others, such as Drow Ranger (and a Nightstalker with Aghanims, full vision at night. Actively a fucking maphack!)

Luna is always great fun.

Luna is considered one of the carries of choice, with the current metagame of 5man push in competitive games. pretty sick hero, with the glaives! Fuckers jump on buildings.

However hands down the most fun, rewarding and fucking insane heroes is the micros.... Try a Aghanimed up Meepo!

Meepo is the best hero if fed & geared up - he's the worst, if not

He IS the worst hero if played the wrong way. I love playing it with a Dagger quite early, make for some amusing poofs. Man, the concentration and micro you need is out of this world

just play drow, sniper or riki = easymode carrys (hate them all whit a strong passion)

Any team can counter any other, its all down to drafting and strategy. Drow and sniper is supereasy to gank, and Riki is manageable with good sentries and gem. Without ganks or strategy, they are annoying tho.
