Notice Owens lack of confidence when we got the second goal? A couple of years ago if he would've got the ball in that much space he would've raced at the defenders and scared the shit out of them (like the famous Argentina goal). Instead he jogged forward about two steps then stopped and squared the ball to Scholes I'm glad Rooney scored a great goal from that move because I felt so sorry for Owen at that point as he seems half the player he could be right now.

True. Although after our woeful defending at set-plays so far, Figo scares me. Mank is spot on about Ronaldo, a quick hack to the ankles should sort him out

Don't think either team will be too focussed on defence though. Both teams will be happy conceeding so long as they score one more than the other. Will be a very fast paced game.

With regards to set piece defending, someone made a good point on another football forum I read about every team having at least one player who can deliver a quality ball into the box at this level, we've got Beckham, France have Zidance, Portugal have Figo, hell, even Switzerland have Hakan Yakin. You're always going to be more vulnerable at set pieces.
