Titan X on sale in NL for 1310 eurobucks.
The old one, you mean? You can only order the new one directly from Nvidia at the moment. I have no idea why they had to choose the same name for the very next card.

Its out today...

But yeah, dumb calling it the same thing, going to cause confusion (and much ebay scamming)

Yeah I saw it's €1299 on nvidia.de. "Cheaper" than I thought it would be.

Argh - finally got my 1080 and it doesn't fit in my case. It's fucking enormous!!!

Got the mobo resting on the case now with the gfx card sitting on top dwarfing it. A bit precarious tbh :/

Good for them, I have been self building for 15 years and never heard of them, the must be doing some terrible marketing.

Surprised they're still around tbh, they were a bigger deal in the 90s. Other companies that were around at the time (Evesham, Watford Electronics) seem to have all gone bust. I think (like those 2) Novatech had big multi-page adverts in the likes of Computer Shopper magazine.

The most impressive thing about the GTX 1070 (besides being awesome with everything cranked at 1080p) is just how quiet it is under load. It doesn't sound like there's anything under load, it's really that quiet.

The new nvidias also have very low power consumption for their power, the 1060 uses less power than my 660 for example

AMD still have some work to do on that front

After using Crossfire for a bit I'm actually unhappy with it, temps are bad, performance/compatibility in various games is mediocre. Selling both cards now for a 1070 or 1080.

That's a problem with all crossfire or SLI set-ups, if the game doesn't support it or the drivers aren't up to it then you revert back to an average single card. Unless you go mad and get 2x top end ofc.

Ever since having a 4870X2 I've always gone for a single faster card over either SLI/CF.

Is it standard or OC'd?

If OC'd you could get more than RRP for it, rarer than a free opinion on FH they are.

I've just ordered this:

MSI GeForce GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

I'm limited by my case, the longer cards don't fit and at 279mm this one is exactly at the stated maximum! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't have to break out the Dremmel. :(
As long as the power connectors aren't on the end! I know they aren't in this case but they were for me once back along, you'd think they would've included that detail in the maximum length.

Also, the OC'd RX 480's are incoming fast, there's a 100k going out next week according to whatshisface (Gibbo iirc) on OcUK.
