Watched movie and it's pretty cool, you almost never see a tic movie so :) I'd really suggest trying to qbind some of the stuff, not sure it would be a very huge difference but I think it's a bit better.

I haven't even started set my arguments to why tics are OP, I just wanted to wait to see if you wanted to go on about it.

The answer to why barely anyone plays tics is very simple, it's such an unique and different class. The average player don't know how to play them and won't put down time to learn how to play them. However, making videos like you and Haxen do will make people roll tics.

I've played a tic, not much, but I've tried a few specs. And most importantly I've a lot of experience meeting them, both solo, group and zerg. And tic is by far most effective in groups and zerg scenarios.

I played SB solo yes, but I never claimed or believed that they are hardcore. It was actually the other way around. What I wanted to show was that it was still possible to to succeed playing solo casually at low RR with wrong race, wrong spec and wrong play style.

That's right, but some classes are just boosted for group and zerg RvR. If you would want to find the best healer class through all realms, you don't go solo on each of them to see how good they are. You play in groups and see how they perform, then judge their OPdness. It's the same with most support classes, including heretics.

As I said, you are just judging from the solo perspective.

PS. DLing movie over night. Good nighty!

Well i still dont agree with you. I understand what you mean. But i am pretty sure the OP term in the common sence of the word means a character that isnt complicated to play and that you can jump up on and play pretty easy and perform well with both solo and in groups. I dont see that happen with tics.
And the tic forum speaks volumes too about it. One of the issues being adressed in the "monthly" questions are about maybe getting tic something being valuable for groups. Cause whatever you think tics arent getting groups in majority since people believe they dont have a natural place in it. As with ALL classes you can rework groups and make exceptions etc and make it fit well...but people in general dont see it like that. And thats what im talking about.
Hence in the COMON sence of the word...they arent an OP class.
In the right situasion ANY class can become OP though. A tic focusing on a stunned target in a zerg were the guy being focused on havent got a clue about who is killing him, would be very OP:p...A cleric standing at a tower bushearing a guy and smiting him to death would also be considered very OP by the Smited player:p Still...neither of those example is viable in the general gameplay. In a zerg you could die from almost anything and anything could be OP cause you dont really have any controle of the situasion as you might have in a solo fight or a 8 vs 8 fight:)

Also you stated one of the better reasons to why a tic isnt OP urself, by saying its not the easiest class out there to play. As the general belief about a OP character is something easely played that can go out and pawn lots of people from rr1 and up:) Im not making this opinion up myself...the boards are full of this belief^^

Still i understand what you mean. But i cant agree to that its op hehe...and i doubt many will. People in general simply know too little about the class to have any real knowledge about it. Hence so few play them.

Anyhow..about the critisism of the vid:) Thanx for watching it and glad you enjoyed it somewhat . And yeh...i agree to that if i ever took the time to learn to q-bind stuff and not be lasy aboput that, im sure it would help me get a lil faster etc. Im just too lazy to relearn the way i play hehe:(
Its just my curse:p

Kivik Tics are NOT the best solo/zerg class, no freaking way :)

Sure they have a good resistance on a zerg by the shear fact of theyr natural resistance and self buffs.

But consider this since i zerged quite a lot on my therg:
Staying alive on a zerg also depends on how fast you can move in and out of frontline aka speed, your nuking capability, and your ability to get out of dificult situations.

I made in one night just zergsurfing with my theurg 170k and died like 4 times.

Played a meleetic way back when they were considered gimped and i loved it, so it's great to see a tic vid after all this time :)

Interesting spec and playstyle, very different from my own and i have to say while i could point out a few minor things you could have done to save yourself some grief, i must admit i really liked what i saw :)
