On the civ V front; me and bro started a lan game, he got gandhi and actually had his own island for the best part until 1500ad, while i got germany and was in a war from 1500-2000bc to 1655ad with the mongolians.

Can't remember how the hell that war started, but the unclean have been purged from my lands and the glorious reich of germany has spread over 8 cities!

I'd appreciate if they gave us the ability to download it early. Just so on the release day A: you'd be ready to play or B: you'd get less strain on the DL servers(if that's a thing).

Why has it started downloading again when I pre loaded the other day - came up on 85% and the download rate is terrible - stopped altogether a few mins ago?

often the steam "preload" is about 85% of the game, stops people unpacking the download and pirating/playing early/whatever - so once its released you usually get a "patch" when it unlocks, so it may be having spasm - mine is fine, atm, a mates is downloading again though so

Download rate is poo on a stick ofcourse since there's a ton of people loading the same thing.
