The "GodPAD" tbfh.

I had this exact pad during my Megadrive days, absolute GodMode pad. And it's like a fucking rainbow!

If the PS4 controller could just switch the place of the left analog sticks and the directional buttons (like xbox).

I still think Sony wasted valuable space with that silly touch pad, it looks utterly pointless.

They could have done what most ask for, move the left analogue stick to where the d pad is.

I've never heard anyone ask for that.

I prefer the current layout for the PS pads. Can't stand it when the d-pad and stick are flipped like the xbox controllers. Let's face it though, it's a personal choice. There's no universally right or wrong way to do it, just what's right to one person. Change it and they'll annoy just as many as they'll please.
I'm sure before long though, there'll be lots of pads floating around out there with whatever weird and wonderful layouts people can think up.

Never really been bothered by the position of analog sticks tbh, if the analog stick is above the D pad instead of below it i'll simply move my left hand... not rocket science really.

Not about moving hands it's about natural resting positions and there isn't a single person in the world who can say their left thumb naturally rests on the left analogue stick of the DS3 the pad simply isn't designed that way.

Pick up a 360 pad and the thumbs just rest on the sticks and that's how it should be.

Meh this argument has been doing the rounds since forever, some people just don't understand or won't which ever takes your fancy.

Guess I'm that single person then :p I have no issues with any of the PSX controllers or the Xbox controllers for that matter, I guess everyone else must have tiny hands or something.

TBH i always found that the sticks being at different heights on the Xbox pad was annoying. Work aroundable, but still annoying each time i picked up a controller.

Having a search around, the DS4 dimensions were an easy find at 162 mm × 52 mm × 98 mm. The Xbox One Controller dimensions i can't seem to find tho....

Arguing about control pads is much like arguing about which hand you would like chopped off.

Discussing the merits of PC versions over console versions is much like deciding if you're going to play the Cowboys or the Indians.

Put the fucking toy gun down :)

Come on then Aada, read this and tell me and @Raven there's no problem whatsoever...

And just just so you can't say "mwaaaah, why should I read shit!!1!1!" I'll quote a relevant bit:
Valve said:
The trackpads allow far higher fidelity input than has previously been possible with traditional handheld controllers. Steam gamers, who are used to the input associated with PCs, will appreciate that the Steam Controller’s resolution approaches that of a desktop mouse.

Whole genres of games that were previously only playable with a keyboard and mouse are now accessible from the sofa

... :D

I think he has just exploded in a shower of impotent rage because so many people have a different opinion.

Its funny. Been clearing through some stuff today. Dusted off the old 360. Not seen much attention in a long while, running through some old games to see if they work backwards compatible.

Launch internet explorer to see what its like - gold required

Suffice to say given the PS4 media centre nonsense, I'd moved back to the "meh, leave them both to it and see" camp. But this just brought back the whole "M$ don't want you to have a console without a £40 a year subscription". Without Live an XBox is a useless piece of shit. Now I'm not saying Sony are better but at least you get a number of titles every month. All things being equal though, thank fuck Valve don't charge £40 a year for Steam. The more I think about that angle the more I think a Steam box has a chance. Your games, you buy them, they're yours, on multiple platforms, without unnecessary bullshit, without recurring unnecessary charges, the end.
