They should do both Football as a game, and Suarez's appearance generally a favour, and just take all his teeth out.

Can Fifa impose a world wide ban that would see him miss Premiership games?

How about on the grounds he shouldn't be allowed to play football with other people?
I mean in regards to his club. Liverpool "own" him. They bought him and pay his wages. Don't see how FIFA would justify benching a player for an offence done while playing for another team.

Maybe on the grounds that he was given a lengthy ban for the exact same thing not too long ago? His doctor even predicted he'd do it again within five years because it's a primitive reaction hardwired in his brain. He hasn't learnt and he never will.

Fifa do have the right to impose all football activity bans and that would include club level. They do have that option open to them but normally it would only apply to international football.

Might happen, I only stated that I think it's unlikely. Don't know which options FIFA got in terms of "global" bans.

Saw a coupon a norwegian guy had. He put 32nkr on Suarez biting another player and it won him 5,600 nkr which is like £540

Sounds like bet fixing to me cokenose!

Anyway fifa would set a dangerous precedent banning a player from club football for a international offence. Would open a big can of club v country worms. Sense a long international ban for the bitter though!

Rule 70 of the FIFA's Disciplinary code states:
With regard to matches and competitions not organised by FIFA (cf. art. 2),
associations, confederations and sports organisations that organise matches for
cultural, geographical, historical or other reasons are responsible for enforcing
sanctions imposed against infringements committed in their area of jurisdiction.
If requested, the sanctions passed may be extended to have worldwide effect

So basically if the EPL is a FIFA affiliate, which I believe it is, they could ban him from from playing.

UK papers already saying he could get a 2 year ban.

I would say yes for the first or even second offence but this is third time and he still does it. On the biggest stage of all. So he should have a ban from domestic as well as international. International only really won't affect him tbh. Hit him in the wallet a season of no wages from his domestic club or six months even. As well as a full wc cycle international ban

I don't think they would set a dangerous precedent, it is such a rare/odd offence that he has now committed a third time that it may require a rarely used punishment.

Well, if he gets a 2 year ban at least he wont be off to RM any time soon. Liverpool could sue him for the rest of his contract too. He could end up a pennyless bum like that Chelsea player that was fond of ramming coke up his nose.

Just read on the Beeb rumours page he has hit out at City again for not letting him have compassionate leave after the season finished whilst they were touring Dubai

Where did you see that? If that's the case then he can't learn...

Anyway. Was up a mountain when a mate texted me about it. Say what you like about the guy - but he's good value for laughs ;)
