That's highly unlikely imo, don't see how they'd justify that. Can Fifa impose a world wide ban that would see him miss Premiership games?

I mean in regards to his club. Liverpool "own" him. They bought him and pay his wages. Don't see how FIFA would justify benching a player for an offence done while playing for another team. How about on the grounds he shouldn't be allowed to play football with other people?

Fifa do have the right to impose all football activity bans and that would include club level. They do have that option open to them but normally it would only apply to international football.
I would say yes for the first or even second offence but this is third time and he still does it. On the biggest stage of all. So he should have a ban from domestic as well as international. International only really won't affect him tbh. Hit him in the wallet a season of no wages from his domestic club or six months even. As well as a full wc cycle international banSounds like bet fixing to me cokenose!
Anyway fifa would set a dangerous precedent banning a player from club football for a international offence. Would open a big can of club v country worms. Sense a long international ban for the bitter though!

His doctor even predicted he'd do it again within five years because it's a primitive reaction hardwired in his brain. He hasn't learnt and he never will.
