Old system - c: 128GB SSD. d: 1TB SSD.
Obviously the c drive is old and small, so I bought a 1TB M.2 card to replace it. I'm keeping the d: drive.
I put it in, cloned the c: drive using DiskGenius. All is good, easy. The new c: drive is formatted using GUID. The d: drive is still the old MBR.
Then I resized the partitions and got almost the full 1TB for the c: drive.
It all appears to be working fine, but what's this "new volume" shit on the bottom right, and in the list, below C:? I can even assign it a drive letter. What's it doing?
ps: ignore the c: drive name "128GB SSD", it's just the old name that got cloned with the drive. I could call it jelly babies if I wanted.
