It is as if you could mix up the timeline of History and lets just say WW2 was slowly building after two other wars in Iraq/Afghanistan, as the Germans more or less demand the annexation of the Sudetenland's Scouse appears telling everyone well the west doesn't have a leg to stand on due to the Iraq/Afghanistan wars.

No but it was funny as fuck looking at all the pantomime of it all, didn't really think Russia was exactly like that any more but I guess I only really gave it much thought when the opening ceremony to the winter Olympics and the failure of one of the rings was covered up by Russia.

Lets face it, the situation at the moment is that. The West goes off and engages in two wars, one with some leg to stand on and the other not so much. Other parts of the world throw their hands up and storm off in protest.

Another part of the world invades somewhere else, everyone looks at the West and goes "Well....go on then...." and the west goes "...Meh..."

The West is either accepted as Team America World Police.....or there needs to be larger military powers given to the UNSC, where vetos no longer exist and people aren't just protecting themselves....


But thats just my opinion.

It's a storm in a teacup tbh. Even if I do agree with much of what's in that article (and I do). There's much bigger stories. So, Crimea has changed hands by underhand methods. At least it's not a massive shooting war with epic levels of civilian death. Another border moved in Europe of the thousands of border moves there have been.

There's a shitload of actual war going on in the world.

Egypt is a much much bigger story, IMO:

Yep, but where does it end? Moldova? Poland? Romania? (former) Czech Republic? What happens when they start invading countries that are in Europe rather than countries that want to be in Europe? How about an expansion south too? Even in the faux friendly mode Russia has shown it is quite happy to level a region and massacre civilians (Chechnya) so who knows what they will do when they are in full dick mode.
