The only technical fight is going to be Edgar vs Maynard ( cmon Edgar, Maynard is a fucking human blanket ).

The rest are all going to be balls out though.
Maybe the first 2 undercard fights will suck, can't see any of the rest being boring though.

They're axe kicks and they are almost impossible to land in close up fights, like ridiculously so.

The reason he landed them was because he used a lot of leg kicks/body kicks that you don't see in the highlight reel, and then they drop hands to protect or raise their leg to check the leg kicks and get headkicked, similar to what mirko used to do, before he forgot how to do anything except high kick :p

Yeah, well. Also known as hammer kicks(Name many use for it). But Andy Hug was actually quite known because of those kicks of his(As you said yourself, hard to land, especially without having the opponent make you loose your balance).

As for myself, I very very rarely ever use hammer kicks when entering fights here. I am more fund of side kicks

It feels good, doesn't it?

I just read that Fedor's 20 year old brother Ivan, is training mma. I googled him and couldn't help but giggle at this part.

Ivan believes that drinking tea grants him superhuman strength and agility.

I wonder why there aren't more Brits in UFC :p

I've got a mate who runs an MMA training...thing (dojo?) for the University of Bradford. Been thinking about going for ages but I'm a big fat lazy bastard, so I've not got round to it.

How does it compare to (for example) an hour of five-a-side? Obviously in terms of a workout as opposed to being punched in the face. I can handle 90 minutes of football or 3 hours of tournament badminton, just about.

Much more intensive, striking with hands and feet whilst moving can be butally punishing, I am sure the circuit work they do is crazy hard as well because it is really to run out of gas when fighting so the cardio work becomes vital.

Put it this way. I play squash 4 times a week for 40 minutes a pop and play rugby too.

An hour of MMA kicked my ass more than these two!

It is very exhausting as you use your entire body and still have to keep a 100% focus. The part imo which recuires most of your body is the grapling, some of the workouts we've had there gave me so many bruises and it feels like every muscles in your body have been stretched and bent ways its not supposed to :p

Chuffed as fuck for Jonny Bones Jones.

Cant see shogun stopping him. Hes too strong and too unorthadox. Cant wait to see him smash Shoguns, Rampages, Evans and Machidas faces to pieces with those elbows.

Just goes to show, you dont have to be a loudmouth gobshite. Humility goes a long way.

Go on Bisping lad. I love it when shit talkers get shut the fuck up. End of the first round, Bisping "like that? did you like that?" haha. No need to spit on Rivera's coach, but after the things his coach was saying, you can understand Bispings emotion.

Wankers at Lowkick are doing my head in, bleating about the illegal knee even though it was seen and Bisping penalised for it. They just can't accept that Bisping dominated the fucker and now his camp are talking up that Bisping is a homophobe in a desperate attempt to get a rematch. Fuck that, move on Micheal you already battered the loser once.

BJ Penn looks finished, never gets into proper shape for fights and is in a division that is too big/heavy for him. Either move down or retire before you destroy your legacy.

Paul Daley, complete arsehole but a very good win against Shirai. Strikeforce title shot on the way I think.
