+ to thrust / DW

Hiya all,

on my little lovely thrustmerc, i will be going 50DW / 50thrust, in my template is it necessary to put in +11 to both thrust and DW - are there any real gains in terms of additional damage with say +5 in each?

Afaik it depends on what styles you use.

Only using DW styles: +11 in dw only
Only using thrust styles: +11 in thrust only
Using both: +11 in both.

Thats for 50/50 spec.

Many that only use 1 type of styles only have 39+11 skill in the other. giving you more specpoints for parry/shield ect.

overcapping skills only give extra damage if you use that skills styles.

Thats the way I understood it anyway.

depends what styles you're using...

given yer 50 thrust I assume you're using dragonfang as well as the DW style in which case you want +11 in both.

If you don't use thrust styles you don't need more than 50 modified.

I was under the impression that the level 50 duel weild style (dual shadows) actually took it's damage from your thrust spec, not your DW spec.
Is this actually true?

Now you mention it, I remember something about that too. What if you are slash, then the style is crap or?
