Street View arrives at CERN

Where are you with the FH sign, Cadelin? :(

Does that count as a Glen?

So all CERN people got sent the email in spoilers. Google are going to street view the entire CERN site tomorrow and we have been told not to do anything silly. Is it just me or is that possibly the worst way to get people to behave? Unfortunately, I just happened to fly back to the UK today so I won't be able to participate in any antics.

Google Street View is an integrated service of Google Maps, introduced by Google in 2007. This service allows users to navigate virtually through streets and to enjoy a 360° panoramic view. Here are just a few examples.

CERN and Google have joined forces to create a panoramic virtual tour of the CERN site and those of its experiments on Google Street View and Google Maps. Google has already taken some shots inside certain experimental facilities.

Tomorrow, Saturday 15 June, a team from Google will be taking street images across all of CERN’s sites using, among other things, a bike-mounted camera system known as the “Street View Trike”. These images will then be uploaded exclusively into Google Street View and Google Maps, with CERN’s consent.

To facilitate this filming work, you are kindly requested, should you come across the Google film crew, to go about your business normally (or keep your distance, should you prefer) and refrain from displaying or carrying banners or any kind of message, especially of a commercial or private nature.

Google has undertaken to blur out all faces and vehicle registration-plates appearing on the images filmed at CERN to ensure they cannot be recognised.

Many thanks in advance for your collaboration.

A post-apocalyptic city scape. Buildings destroyed, cars thrown about like toys, millions of humans dead (picture Bradford on a nice day). Some food, weapons, fuel & power generators available.

Enter the combatants:
(1) Godzilla
(2) The monster from Cloverfield
(3) 15 Predators
(4) 80 Aliens
(5) Smaug the Dragon
(6) Half a dozen Terminators
(7) Bruce Willis & Will Smith.

Who wins?

You can't seriously call the muck they serve in Brick Lane curry can you? Its the worst Indian food in London. Southall, yep, I'll give you that.

Is it worth travelling from London to eat there? I would fight a pack of rabid Alsatians if they stood between me and the finest curry ever

Probably not worth going that far but if you are ever in the area, do it!

It's not all tripe - most of the places in the main bit are crap but I mean the area not the actual street.

Godzilla and Clover would be taken out fairly easily, by the Predators alone probably.
The Preds would probably take out the Terminators as well
The Aliens would spread out and be tough sonsofbitches. They'd take out some predators but I think they'd all get wiped. The humans would take a few out too.
Unless Bruce and Will get into action movie mode, they're toast.

Toss up between Smaug and the remaining Predators. A dragon's magic is not to be under-estimated. Could probably smell the camoflaged Predators without using any magic. Smaug I reckon.

15 predators is a bit overkill vs 80 aliens, if it was 5 vs 80 then it would be closer to fair. As such it goes to predators. Agree with lamp on godzilla anf clover as well, big baddies would still get taken down by a dragon or plasmacannon wielding space badasses. TErminators could be taken out by willis&smith company alone, against others they'd have no chance.

With those numbers being what they are, it would be between smaug and the predators.

Used a randomizer to put them all in a championship style roster and pretty much every layout told the same story as well (personal opinion on things like smaug vs godzilla excluded ofcourse).

If we assume Smaug has the sort of magic that Ruagh had in Magician (ie, we're talking about a massive creature, a shape-changer, a teleporter, able to fly between the spaces between universes, with almost impervious armour, a devestating breath weapon, teeth, claws, and a magician of almost mind-boggling powers), Smaug would win.
