As opposed to England where nobody gets it.

If you had to pick one imperfect system over the other then Scotland's is clearly the better - especially since the economics of our system aren't adding up.

Edit:
So what if a tiny number of overprivileged get pissup money that they'd never even notice - measure that against tens of thousands who don't have to saddle themselves with, to them, serious levels of debt for the bulk of their working lives, just for the 'privilege' of contributing their much-needed intellect and skills to our economy...
Really depends if education is free something else suffers. Cause the money you have to put there can't go to other places. Like in Wales where the scripts are free but the health service is shit compared to England's.

To compare free prescriptions with the benefits of free education is like comparing a canoe with an aircraft carrier.

But to humour you - the cost of free prescriptions are tiny compared to a lot of things. Patients with Chrones disease, Parkinsons, asthma, cystic fibrosis, any lifetime condition - should they pay for their ill health? Espcially when there are estimates that 1/3rd of people who need medication in England aren't getting it because they're so tight for cash yet aren't deemed to qualify that they choose other priorities (like their kids) first.

I'm just saying if you pay somewhere then you must take from somewhere else. If your paying for rich people to go to uni then, in my opinion, you are taking unnecessarily from something else. No matter how small or ,to you, insignificant the amount it's true.

At interviews why do they always say 'Relax, we're not going to grill you'

I mean, has anyone been to an interview where they've said 'BE REALLY STRESSED OUT, WERE GOING TO MUDDER YOU'

By the way, I think I fucked up that interview, dayum.

Went to an interview board once for a government job, thank fuck I did not get it. Worst experience ever. Sat on a chair in the middle of a room whilst four senior civil servants tried to grill me on the avionics tech, it became apparent that they knew very little and had to then get a 5th person in the room to even verify my answers. About 20 minutes in I knew I would hate working there so started asking lots of questions about benefits etc.

I suffer from Crohn's disease and I'm currently on folic acid and methotrexate as medication, which I pay for. I used to be on infliximab infusions every 2 months and if I had to pay for those I would be well fucked as I heard a nurse say they cost roughly up to £1000 per treatment.

This is me and my mates on the way to Celtic Park for the Scotland game:

This is my mate Angus, he's supplying us with the tunes:

This is when we inevitably get pumped:

But we'll ease away the pain with some of this:

I sincerely hope Scotland win. I will take anything as a kick up the arse to sort English international football out.

Well, it sounded like the excuses from England supporters were already starting on the radio, "PAH, we're not taking this seriously!"
