The problem is, say something like that and hand wringers and Israelis auto response is that you are anti-semitic when its nothing at all like that.

Which is one of the many reasons I stay the fuck out of the Palestine question, and why I still don't understand why Sweden didn't do the same.

Because we can't fucking pussy-foot around a nation because they're scared about being called anti-Semitic.

We live in a society where we're happy to call Muslims out, but when it comes to Jews, nope, because of the holocaust.

I don't even understand the justification behind it, Britain & America wasn't behind it anyway, for gods sake, it wasn't even a nation, it was a group of crazy people, we can't keep apologising because they had shit time.

Jews have got a reputation for being good at business and dealing with issues like this, and frankly, in their point of view, the Zionist Jews are probably thankful for the martyrs of the past, if we're so bothered about helping and protecting groups of people that were massively persecuted in the past, why the fuck aren't we helping the Armenians?

This is the stance of most people, because it's hard to defend Israel, they're like spoilt kids, and then start waving their arms around damaging everything around them whilst mummy and daddy are like 'aww' then looks at the other kids 'touch him, and i'll beat you up'

Pretty obvious to me. He saying that either no one follows Sweden and they look dicks. Or they lead the way for others to recognise them and be heroes. Nothing about the UK not doing anything yet

the government isn't happy to call Muslims out. In fact they are very careful about what sects and individuals they blame for things. Making sure that anyone who could possibly be seen as being seperate isn't touched by accusations. Even those who might be a bit dodgey are not picked out.

While I think those native whiners that hate everything about England yet still cling onto this rock, need to throw themselves into the sea that is pretty funny.

How about those that dislike intensely British political discourse and standard morality but love the country they live in - and by country I mean actual land and place, not shitty borders on a map?

I mean, you know, people who can think outside tabloid-set mentality.

Are they allowed to hate "England" but still love the place they live, whilst detesting the people around them? Presumably without having to fuck off out of the country, or subjugating themselves to a "worse" regime, before being allowed to criticise the people around them?

Eh? :)

Used to go to Fuji Hero when I lived in Bradford. Had another one in Leeds. Was awesome ramen action - but I've never been anywhere even remotely as good as it since :(

Edit: Fuck. I have to wait FOUR SECONDS before my next post.

I mean those that continue to blindly vote Labour or Tory based on some shit that happened in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s. Or green because they are deluded enough to think it even makes a slight bit of difference.

The biggest change to happen to UK politics is UKIP, like it or not, it is a start.

NOT. It's a shit start that gives retards a voice.

Yes, Europe is democratically unaccountable - but the alternative is nearly 50 countries in the most densely "countrified" part of the planet all acting as single entities - and the horrible warring that comes with that.

We need Europe. It's our best hope for peace. It's that big a deal.

As for the "bill" - we agreed to that when we signed up and we agreed to it in recent negotiations. We're acting like a rich cunt who won't pay his taxes is all...

In a true democracy retards need a voice too, it is the role of that democracy to educate them, not shout them down. If it takes UKIP and other parties like them within Europe to force Europe into actually changing for the better then so be it. Voting right or left isn't going to be changing anything anytime soon. Politics across the western world has stagnated since WW2, little changes and nothing changes for the better.

Debate is good, regardless of the start.

I find this very interesting.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-29857849

In effect, I guess what they're saying is the HoC will do the running of the country as a whole, laws and such, whereas the HoL/ornowS will become a place where 'locals' will go and bitch and moan that they're not getting enough money. It's quite a traditionalist labour-socialist idea I guess, or is it Labour thinking of radical ideas to make people think that?

I just watched my Z3 compact move the length of my sofa's armrest of it's own accord. I was wondering if Samhain was messing with me, until I realized that my sofa's upholstery is smooth woven fiber, the armrest is at a slight angle, and the Z3 is covered in glass on both sides. The bass output from the hifi was making the armrest vibrate ever so slightly, causing the phone to slide slowly from one end to the other. It was very slow, but still noticable.

Been reading the Guardian website a lot...I mean leftie of course..but everyday there is an article or opinion that is so cringingly desperate to be politically correct its like reading a wank dream of a 19 year old student union representative who's just got back from saving rare newts from ukip.

Well Ryan Gosling certainly isnt going to be changing the mood of any scenes, most wooden and emotionless actor in the history of acting.

Im confused to what you mean by that.

Our Government has done nothing about the Israel question.

What i meant by that is if Sweden went ahead and recognized Palestine, countries that really wanted to but didn't want to take the risk of doing it first (for obvious reasons) may now think it's fine to go ahead. Personally i think we're too small and insignificant to have that effect but whatever.

And which Israel question are we talking about? There's so many of them you kinda need to be specific here. :)

You pretty much said all the things I love about the scandanavian countries, I really dont think it was your governments intent to start a earthquake, I think they saw a chance to do the right thing and say I don't care if the rest of the world follows, we want the bullying of the Palestinian people to stop, now.
