Well seems i was right... Van Gaal used a 3-4-3 (5-2-3) wingback systems in his first pre-season match. Good result with a 7-0 win but means nothing.

I'm sure someone was berating Van gaal at the start of the world cup for changing the system to 3-5-2. People forget it's a great system if you have the players for it.

Apparently 350,000 James Rodriguez shirts have been sold in the last 48 hours, how much of his fee has been recouped already?!

Aye, to be honest it all depends on how it being played... is it a true 3-5-2 or is it more towards a 5-3-2 with a small amount of attack coming from wing backs. 5-3-2 is extremely negative in a lot of ways so hoping it is more attack minded for good football. Want to win with a bit of style, not by boring the opponents :)

It's flexible in that you can do either. Shaw and Valencia are really well suited to it.

Yeah, but it all comes from what the manager thinks. Hopefully he more minded as attacking due to his background but you never know with football.

He said the team is unbalanced with too many forward players, and if he played 4-3-3 then he'd be leaving too many on the bench. So it's certainly attacking.

Or maybe he's just happy at Juventus?

Let me troll Utd fans in peace, also: 'Vidal arrived back in Italy and when asked by reporters whether he would stay at Juventus said: 'I do not go to Manchester. Can I say I will remain with Juve? I don’t know.'

I don't get why Torres sticks around, he should be at the peak of his career. A new club might get him playing again.

Or maybe that is his problem, just plain lazy.

Anyway, excellent news for Chelsea and premier league fans.

Yeah, I think you hit the nail on the head - lazy. There's no way a player with that much talent can be so bad for so long unless he hasn't made the effort to change.

It is wages. He is on a boat load £150-£170k a week is rumored no where else is going to pay him that. Why would he leave. Train twice a week play twice a month and earn £600k easy money.

Exactly what Soze said

Hope Lukaku doesn't spit his dummy out over Drogba coming back, or maybe that's why he's come back!

I really don't get it, he's 36 and past his prime. Give lakaku a chance instead.

One is a proven big game player the other seems to go missing in big games, I think the world cup was a chance for Lukaku to prove his worth but in two games he proved fairly useless and in none of his Everton games did he take a game against a big team and boss it. If Drogba is still half the player he was then he can win a game on his own.

I fucking hate Drogba.
