I'm a slave to these threads it seems!

Should be a cracking season, everyone at the top is splashing the cash.

World Cup only finished last night and from what I can see club friendlies start from Wednesday. Some i've spotted, feel free to add more:

Wed 19th
Brondby v Liverpool 17:00
Wycombe v Chelsea 19:45
Friday 18th
Hearts v City 19:30
Saturday 19th
Seattle v Spurs 21:00
Boreham Wood v Arsenal 15:00
Wed 23rd
Man Utd v LA Galaxy
full prem list http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/...-barclays-premier-league-clubs-2014-2015.html

Shall we get some predictions in early? Although we all know there are many transfers to be done.

My guess as squads stand now
Chelsea
City
Arsenal
United
Liverpool
Tottenham
Everton

My predictions are always totally wrong, not even sure I want to humiliate myself this year. Arsenal will probably win it just to ruin everyone's predictions and Man City will finish 9th.

Another year, another load of nonsense and laughing at each other's misfortunes. Can't wait. ;)

Find it hard to disagree with @megadave's predictions, aside from maybe Arsenal and United interchanging so won't bother posting my own.

As of now but I'll probably do another when the transfer window shuts:

Chelsea
City
United
Arsenal (maybe ahead of united if a good midfielder signs)
Liverpool/Spurs

edit - My Chelsea prediction is very dependant on Costa scoring 15+ goals. He could very well flop.

Yeah, I am pretty terrified of that [Costa flopping] happening (again).

I'm interested to see how the other clubs that Adidas sponsors reacts to this new huge deal for United, can't see Bayern or Real Madrid accepting getting half that of Chevrolet United, but I also doubt Adidas will want to pay everyone such insane amounts.

This is how it will end!
Liverpool
Chelsea
City
Arsenal
United
Spurs

serious tho If Liverpool signs a good striker and a decent defender or 3 they will end up top 3 again imo. Chelsea is just a decent striker from winning it and Costa might be that striker.
city still has a good team and if they get to keep yaya they will be 1st or 2nd again.
United dont have a great squad and just cause they have a new trainer wont make them perform alot better then last year, they lost loads of experienced players aswell. they wont make it too CL this year either!

Liverpool fans, ladies and gentlemen. Still here to make us all feel a bit better when we lose 1-0 away to Stoke.

There's a difference between having faith and having realistic expectations. :)

City
Chelsea
UTD
Arsenal
Liverpool
The Rest

Although depending on players brought in (or lack thereof, Liverpool will finish higher than UTD and Arsenal) They are buying the right type of players to expand on a good squad so far.

Looking forward to seeing Liverpool's CL group. I'm hoping for Barcelona, Dortmund, Liverpool, Monaco :p

Also your prediction for the season seems to assume Liverpool will sign 4-5 players and Man Utd will not sign anyone else.

I read the first few pages of last year's thread earlier. Everyone was utterly wrong about everything in the transfer market, including me (except I called United wouldn't get Fabregas very early on). Fellani was going to Arsenal for most of the summer and Suarez was going to Real.

Even if Liverpool dont sign anymore and united sign 4-5 more players I think Liverpool will end up ahead of United just cause they lost some players and
will have alot of new players in their squad and a new trainer with a diffreant setup to moyes.
Liverpool got to keep most of their squad and will have the same trainer as the last 2 seasons.

Newcastle to achieve the objective of mid table obscurity, whilst renaming the stadium again, selling the branding rights to our shirts to an obscure latvian porn production company and signing a random assortment of johnny foreigners to sell on for a profit once they've used us for a season to bed into the premiership.

top 4

city
arsenal
chelsea
liverpool

......
This is assuming no more transfers going on, which I expect is unlikely.... I think a single transfer will change the top 2.
1) Chelsea sign world class striker they will come top
2) Man City lose Yaya, they will drop to 2nd and Chelsea will come top.
.........

Simple thing is, Moyles didnt work out, his tactics didnt work out. Therefore it doesnt matter that we will play different tactically.
The experienced players going will make no difference. To be honest they were not that great last season anyway with exception of Giggs. Vidic was not bad but wasnt up to his best standard.
With that said it be hard without a world class experienced center back in team.. maybe we can steal Hummels (LOL).

In other news Orient have been bought by an Italian called Francesco Becchetti. I can't find much info on him which is annoying - I've got no idea how rich he is. He was originally going to buy a championship club but went for us instead. Good man.

Chelsea or city to win it. Third will be Liverpool or United. Fourth is reserved for Arsenal. Spurs will grab 6th

Copenhagen to win the Danish league

I've just looked through the "Transfer Specials" on Skybet. If they're anything to go by United and Arsenal are pretty much nailed on for Vidal and Khedira respectively. Brilliant signings.

No idea why that market exists mind. Why would you bet unless you had inside information?

If Arsenal sign the needed midfield muscle and Remy. If Utd sign several players. And if City lose Yaya.

Chelsea
Arsenal
Utd
City

I predict Liverpool will have a much tougher season. Suarez has been replaced so far by Lalana and he is not a direct replacement. Also now more teams know how they play and will not just roll over and take it. I predict many games where Liverpool get frustrated and struggle to break teams down which will be even worse without Suarez. Spurs have not done anything yet to be considered challengers but it could happen. Everton are weaker.

With Cesc and the Midfield they already had they will push for it. City without Yaya are in trouble.
