From my understanding it's not a "no fly zone", it's a "we advise you not to fly there zone". I could be wrong though.

A no fly zone would need to be put in place by a outside source. The Rebels after finding out they downed a civilian airliner said it was a war zone they should not be flying there. At least that's what the transcript said.

Can't blame the shaktar players for not wanting to go back, but we should go ahead and charter a private plane? Please elaborate

Didnt say you should .... said you COULD.

Also depends on where the match is exactly in the ukraine... remember Shaktar are a team based in an illegally seized city. The players dont want to be in a rebel held area... all depends on the small points but like I said, the option is there for the club to get there to play, just if it is a good idea is another matter entirely

They shouldn't be expected to by UEFA full stop. The name gives it a clue, it is a city that is in the middle of an escalating war.

No word from UEFA yet. Guess they're bottling it. We've said that we'll play no matter what even if we have to kayak there. Just hope that the guys will get there safely since no one wants to insure them on the trip

Looks like UEFA have seen sense and the match will be played in Kiev.

Haven't half the team abandoned the club anyway? Will they have the players to field a team?

That's Shaktar Donetsk who are relocating to Lviv in West Ukraine. FC Copenhagen are due to play Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk but it's not clear whether they are moving only this match or for the foreseeable future.

There's no way in hell Costa is only 25.

I always think this about footballers.

Just thinking out loud (and not about Costa), but if you could, you would definitely lie about your age.

Is it just Roma or entire Serie A where the transfers papers are shown public?

The Liverpool match is being played on a baseball pitch I think?

Borini off after 12 lol. Shoulda signed at Sunderland

Not got the commentary on so don't know all the details but it didn't look to bad, no point keeping him on the pitch though.

Nice bit of business by us yesterday. Vorm and Davies in and Siggy off to Swansea. We have an actual real proper first-choice left-back yaaaaaay.

And a brace for Lamela last night. Watch out motherfuckers!

Well seems i was right... Van Gaal used a 3-4-3 (5-2-3) wingback systems in his first pre-season match. Good result with a 7-0 win but means nothing.
