Arsenal looking quite good this transferwindow? If they can get some good defenders they might have a go this season.

It looks like Pochettino is going to use the friendlies over t'pond to try out some of our kids. We know he's good at bringing up the youth so hopefully this will be a good thing. Also it looks like a fee of £10m has been agreed for Davies from Swansea.

Just like this past season and the season before etc.? They'll start great and end up bottling it in December/January

I don't understand this. Arsenal had the best league form in the country in 2013 (the calender year). They dropped off when Walcott and Ramsey got injured (which coincided with a brutal run of league and CL fixtures). Teams were able to push up massively because Arsenal had no pace up front. That's been solved by adding Sanchez and with Walcott coming back. They were only 7 points off city in the end.

Assuming a physical midfielder like Khedira, Schneiderlin or Bender signs, Arsenal's midfield and attacking options are: Sanchez, Giroud, Walcott, Ramsey, Cazorla, Ozil, Podolski, Khedira?, Wilshere, AOC, Arteta, Flamini, Rosicky.

Khedira and some backup centrebacks and they'll challenge, could do with another striker though.

Apparently Vidal is staying put according to Juventus, wonder if that has any impact on a Pogba move. Allegri could be their new manager despite being pretty awful at Milan.

Personally I think they're going to give it a couple of weeks and then let Vidal go, possibly after a signing or two. It would be too much bad news at once if they announced it now.

Agreed to sign Felipe Luis, seems expensive but he was one of the best in Europe last season. As good as Azpi was at left back, a left footer should give us more balance and help hazard with overlaps.

it's a pretty good ploy, we can switch Dave & Ivanovic can move into CB when needed as well, but he'll be off soon, he's already 30 as good as he is.

I love that the time of the inevitable Arsenal collapse that happens every year at the same time is always at a different time.

Guardian says Van Gaal has already gone off him. Who else are you after? Nobody touches Vidal imo.

Forbes have done a top 50 most valuable sports team list. Only eight out of the 50 are football teams. Of the ones that feature:

Madrid:$3.44 billion
Barca: $3.2 billion
United: $2.81 billion
Bayern: $1.85 billion
Arsenal: $1.331 billion
Chelsea: $867 million
Manchester City: $863 million
AC Milan: $856 million

Looks like Khedira will be going to Chelsea. Jose has called him to tell him not to sign for Arsenal. And while we have agreed a fee with RM we are trying to negotiate his wages down which Chelsea will not do. Begs the question do they want him or do they just want to stop us getting him?

Chelsea just would not stoop to tricks like that. They are *far* too classy.

His agent claims he is talking to neither club.

Isn't he down to a year on his contract or something? I know there was something about him refusing to sign an extension. Might just be a game to get a better deal.

haha nice, i guess that was some ragtag team of kids though? Like our game yesterday

Kroos has gone to RM for a measly 20m, so it makes more sense for Khedira to be sold
