@caLLous wellbeck flat out didn't want to go to you, he only was considering arsenal. Fair play to him, hope him all the best, think he's very unfairly treated by the media and fans.

I personally think wellbeck has awful control so I'm glad to be shot of him.

Incredibly short-termist by Utd though, if RvP is as crocked as they say, what do they have next season when Falcao's loan is over? Rooney and Hernandez? I think letting Welbeck leave might turn out to be a bad move.

I imagine Falcao will join them permanently if they make the champions league.

Big if though, Chelsea and City will get 1st and 2nd, Liverpool and arsenal probably 3rd and 4th

I thought the Falcao thing was a permanent move in all bar name to bend the FFP stuff.

Why would Utd of all clubs give the slightest shit about FFP?

I disagree wholeheartedly!
If Falcao does not want to sign with us after a year it puts more pressure on the club to buy a top striker, not just say "oh we have welbeck it's cool".

SAF never used the kind of cash that Van Laal has. The United on May 5th 2012 and the United today are two totally different clubs. When he said that, and they lost the league to City on goal difference that season, he went out and bought RVP, pretty much as the only player(Kagawa was never a favourite) and won the following season. Hate him or love him, but the man was a football genious. He took a squad, won the league, and handed (almost) the same squad over to Moyes and you know how the that went. He never went on mad spending sprees, but still managed to finish in the top season after season

Yes, but LVG has also not been one to splash and more believe in youth.

It just shows how bad the problem is at Utd, and how good SAF was at motivating some very average players.

The rot set in when the Glaziers took over, if they don't make champions league this season that's them done for a generation. Unless they get bought by someone willing to invest properly, not just panic invest so they don't lose out on lucrative sponsorship deals.

He also left it in very questionable condition.

Just seen the recap of the Germany - Argentina match, and I must say that Di Maria was superb. That first assist was very nicely done

Maybe if you didn't insist on playing boring football using the same old flops in the same old tired formation things would be different. English international football is going backwards. I would rather they didn't qualify for the next 3 tournaments because that seems to be the only thing that will get the FA to wake up and realise that they have absolutely no idea what they are doing.

Webmbly is a cunt to get to and very expensive. When you are playing nobodies just roam the country letting local fans watch the game cheaply. Saying to people in Newcastle that they can come watch England play shit against Norway for £200? a head with travel no wonder the fucker was half full.

If England played with anything resembling entertainment value then £200 is a nice treat. I probably wouldn't bother going down to Wembley to watch them if it was free at the moment.

Sturridge out until xmas according to the evening standard?

I fucking hope not. I'm sick of Liverpool players getting injured for England :(
