You cannot not qualify with the group you're in. You just won the, on paper, most difficult of your 10 matches
yep and our rock solid defence only gave up 8 or 9 good chances in the second half alone :). Whilst we only managed two or three good chances on target in the first half. Maybe 5 in the second. I think we are definitely capable of losing to any side.

meanwhile the big money clubs get away with shit like 10M$ + for an insignificant advertising sign to balance the books and meet the requirements

Yes but they are the right end of the table and win stuff, QPR does neither.

I hate qpr, but the league's fpp rule really doesn't work for teams relegated from the prem.

Nothing wrong with a 3G pitch. Blaming the pitch for Wales being a bit shit is great.

Yes there was the fact the ball did not run at all and just caused a puff of dirt when it landed. It is a shit pitch and only fit for Sunday League.

The pitch was awful, they almost didn't play on it because it was so bad but it scraped through the last inspection. I think they added all of the black rubber because the ball ran too fast on it previously. I don't know that it had anything to do with Ramsey's injury though (if he is even injured).

I think it could be quite a good example actually. Yes they have a crazy amount of foreigners but they also have a bunch of talented young English players that are getting to play week in week out rather than just sit on the bench or in the reserves.

Yeah. the article doesn't really look at the reason for the loans. Our youth teams have done very well lately but the jump to the senior team is so huge that loans are the only real option, nobody wants to see Manchester United B in the league system. Loans are always a risk but the club does a pretty good job of finding a suitable club for each players respective ability.

The biggest problem with the whole thing has nothing to do with loans, but rather the way clubs like us can poach the best youngsters for such low prices. This is only possible because the governing body introduce schemes like the Elite Player Performance Plan meaning value is worked out in a silly way resulting in minimal fees.

I've seen articles like this before and they always pick out a few players who looked exceptional at a lower age group but failed to translate that to the top level at age 23 or whatever, which is more common than not.

In my opinion this is a result of FFP. We don't have the biggest stadium or the highest commercial revenue so we've found a clever new avenue for income. We've only been doing it a few years and we've already made a shitload of money and got world class goalkeeper for less than 3m total. I expect other clubs to follow.

Yeah, it would be nice to see more clubs doing it and it could help solve the problem of English players not playing abroad. Even if they don't make it to the top Euro clubs it could help change the culture of English players and the relationship with Europe.

The reason for the loans on such a massive scale is the use of financial muscle to bolster first team squad, period.

There needs to be a cap on the maximum number of players available to a single football club. That'll stop rich teams having a bazillion players all over the place to be recalled at their whim...

This, definitely. Sad to say that it was very refreshing to see Micah Richards go to Fiorentina to get first team football instead of sitting on the bench at City.

So what will happen to the teams in Italy and Portugal that rely on such a model? They're not all rich.

Same with coaches, most coaches from the UK only study here, a notable exception is Rogers.

Would love to see Welbeck do good, just to rub it in Man United's face a bit more. Nearly got his first one after 11 or so mins too!
