HBA off to Hull, buying a direct replacement for Coloccini in Mapou Yanga-M'biwa but not giving him a run in the team in his actual position then getting rid. Pardew really is a moron of catastrophic proportions.

Turns out Cleverley is badly named. Villa agreed a fee of £7 million and he was due to have a medical, but we wouldn't meet the £60, 000 per week he wanted in wages. So off he scoots to Everton who had agreed a fee of £7.5 million and were apparently willing to double his wage at United to the level he required...

Only for Everton to then try to renegotiate a price of £5 million for him from the club. United weren't having it and back to Old Trafford he went.

Did United land Falcao? Heard they ran out of time?

Not that stupid imho. They tried to force him out the door to a club that would not meet his wage demands. And he is a free agent next year which means a better contract.

They are saying he wanted 60/80 k per week (depends which site you read) and Everton would not make him they highest paid player there.

As signs of intent go not buying someone today shows we are not trying to win the league. CL qualification and a cup run it is.
Agree, letting Ignasi go leaving only 6 defenders, 3 recognised Ctr backs is leaving us extremely weak and not much cover at all.

And next year with no Transfer Fee he will get that no problems.

Yeah it is very silly two defenders out only one in. Do defensive midfield signed again and the only striker we got was either a last minute signing or Wenger has bought him because of his passport. Either way not good signs. I really do hope I am proved wrong as people with much more football knowledge than me thing Wellbeck is a great signing and that he will flourish in our system.

He has been played out of position a lot and he certainly has potential. Whether that translates into goals, who knows. Wenger might get the best out of him but he might also break him. There is either something wrong with the Arsenal training system or they get very unlucky with weak players.

Our medical review suggested the way Wenger trains so intensively is the issue. He runs training sessions like they are SAS boot camps and it means we normally start very strong. But not everyone can go a season in that condition. This seemingly explains a lot of the muscular problems we get. This season our preseason training has been changed so we should not suffer the same problems. The club spent about £20m on a review new equipment and more staff in the medical department so it looks like they are taking it seriously.

Hope so, he has quick feet and his positioning is good so working some of the quick one twos around the 18y line might work well.

Think it is well known that the training regime is very tough at Arsenal. Lack of cover in key positions will cause us issues, especially with players like Gibbs who seems to play 3 miss 2 :). Going to be very tough going up to the Jan transfer window if we get a few more key injuries it could all go horribly wrong. Especially in the defense 3 full backs and 3 Ctr backs is not good in the premiership. Chambers can play both positions but if we lose two Ctr backs we are screwed, Can't see Monreal, Bellerin or even Flamini/Arteta being able to fill that role effectively.

Arsenal will survive, challenge for the title I'm unsure but they'll certainly make Europe.

Need to play Walcott - Ozil - Sanchez with welbeck up top. Will be pretty scary!

And they need to keep their precious defenders fit and free of injuries.

Kind of a shame they didn't manage to keep Sagna. Versatile & could play at CB.

I think the plan is to use Coquelin as emergency CB cover if he is needed. Either that or Hayden will be getting a few first team opportunities.

Gibbs is already out with a hamstring, I didn't realise that.

Everyone happy with their Windows?
I'd say im as happy as I could be while losing Suarez. Can probably get a good position this year too.

Yeah I am. Could honestly have done with a winger and a striker but defensively we're massively improved. Poch wants to work his way forward from the back but he's reportedly very happy with what he's got. We now have a much more solid back 4, with depth all across the line and a superb second keeper. Still slightly concerned as to where the goals are going to come from but hopefully we will see improvements as the new system beds in.

Poch really wants Schneiderlen and Rodriguez and will probably have another go in January. We were balls deep in Welbeck but we a) only wanted to loan him and b) flat-out refused to pay more than £15m for him when we started talking about a permanent move.

For me - Chelseas window was perfect, I would've probably not gone for Remy and looked to someone else but I'm not too sad.

Yeah, got rid of lots of shit and for amazing money (David Luiz seriosly was the worst top 4 defender imo, and we got 3m for Agger :( ) And mainly bought players you really needed.
The most confusing window have got to be Uniteds though, it might work in the end but I does not feel like they addressed any of the most pressing issues.
