Thank fuck for Jovetic, he's the only player saving my fantasy team this week.

Eeek 60m for Di Maria. Not worth half that imo

Man Utd throwing silly money at average players won't cure anything

Di Maria average. Hahaha. Worth every penny of the £60m, just not what Utd need in any way. Smacks of desperation, yes. Incredible player though.

I gonna take a case he will play him in CM to inject some pace in that area of the field. Yes it means we wont have 2 defensive minded CM's but we need to do something to stop the lackluster play and he fits the bill.

£60m is a little over the top, would understand around the £50m point. However it is what I would class as a statement of intent. They basically saying that we have the money and willing to spend it for the players we really want.
Still, need probably another £60m or so to complete the moves the team really need and I dont see that happening. I just hope we at least get some more experience in the CB role before the window closes. The youngsters are doing OK on the whole, but there silly mistakes that the top teams will take alot more advantage off

Everyone knows united are desperate so the prices get upped.

I'm guessing there are still 2-3 players still to come; Daley Blind is looking likely, and maybe Vidal (although I think Van Gaal would prefer Strootman), but the knee thing may be the deal-breaker (take Vidal with a dodgy knee now or Strootman when he's fit in January? In an ideal world, both).

They don't have a lack of spending, they have a lack of buying the right players and an abundance of spending too much money on the wrong players - Herrera, Fellaini, Rojo. All absurdly overpriced.

Include Luke Shaw in that too, a player I doubt LVG really wanted. Probably won't find him in the starting 11 much.

Ugh, first and third goal were so shit to concede. Second goal was excellent though...
Still looked better than the result suggested imho, ahead of the sucker punch that was the first goal I thought we were the better team (without really threatening though).

We seem to want to develop in to somethong Barcelona-lite, as soon as the ball reaches one of our strikers on the penalty box line we instantly pass it back to midfield who then proceeds to pass it back to the centrebacks. Need to attack with speed!

Moreno and Markovic looked quite good (even though Morena was responsible for first goal).
Looks like this new defense will leak as much goals as the old one :(

No Suarez = no "bite" in the offence
No Agger to stabilze the defence

Alot passing and pace up to and around the box, but not really truly dangerous from there on.

So talk is Giroud may have a broken ankle and be out till the new year. The belief was Wenger wanted to go till Chirstmas with the Strike force we had with Theo coming back to bolster things. Now we may be in the market for another Striker given that we may have to play tomorrow without one.

Also if LVG is wanting to sell Hernández and Welbeckis cup tieing them a good idea?

Cup tying them so they cant play in league cup... nothing wrong with that. Just means they have to move abroad :p
